I think he'd struggle tbh at another club
Not many places now would give him the sort of control he has at crewe,got to hand it to him though,he can spot the youngsters thats for sure.
They are generally players who have been released by bigger clubs I think, he just lets them play and gives them a chance to fulfil their potential while getting first team experience. A lot probably don't go back to the Premiership but considering the size of the club a phenominal amount do make it.
You are right though, he probably wouldn't be suited to a big club now but that doesn't make him any less of a manager.

Alex Ferguson is definately the most successful manager around and its difficult to argue with his record but its not all down to success and trophies.
I'd consider Dario Gradi at Crewe to be a very good manager. He's been there since 1983 and produced a hell of a lot of quality players over the years. Crewe aren't a big club but its important to have clubs like that who allow young players to develop, especially with the Premiership how it is these days.

Not a bad return at all. He could do alright as well and I believe Adams has said he would sell at the right price (Reading are said to be interested though I'd have thought he'd prefer Everton)
Could cost a few million mind and if he's injury prone that makes him a sizeable risk

Traore is no way as good as Weir or Stubbs. In fact he's woeful.
Better off going for someone like Upson.

Pongolle is alright, dont rate him too highly though.
But i do like Cisse, his pace does worry defenders, i know we've had fast forwards before who cant shoot (bent/radz) but he is better than both of them.

He is fast but a bit of a headless chicken and also a bit of an arsehole.
Pongolle is fast too and a better finisher but not as strong, though as has been said already he is still young and probably would be cheaper.

Wasn't Moyes supposed to be on the verge of signing Traore in summer 2004? I heard it all was all in motion but then Benitez was told he couldn't buy a replacement so decided to keep him.
Pongolle would be a good signing and wasn't he saying good things about Everton and Everton fans a few months back?

Look again. The first quote you take was after someone asked what teams were played and not played yet. I answered.
The second quote was in answer to someone who took issue with me saying that teams were off form or struggling. That person said that Liverpool were not off form or struggling and I pointed out that they were NOT one of the teams who Everton beat!
I stand by the third quote. You still have no evidence

find me an example of where I said Liverpool are better than Everton. I said I thought Crouch was better than Beattie. Its not the same thing.

The reason I don't want to say who I support is because it was already quite aggressively assumed who I supported so there didn't seem much point arguing.

BT still has a lot to live up to by his own standards but he is far the better player than Crouch. He can jump higher for starters. ANyone EVER seen crouch jump - he gets about 6inches off the floor at most.
Why the fuck would Crouch need to jump??!!
Considering that Beattie is considered a goalscorer and Crouch is considered a second striker Crouch has a better record in terms of goals. Aren't they on about the same this season?

Having looked around a bit, yes I see that now. The thing is that I've been on sites for a few clubs (including Liverpool) and they all tend to get rival fans, and more often than not they are okay. Some of the ones I have seen on this site however are, as you suggest, knobheads. Just here to wind people up. So I can see why you are hostile.
However, that was not my intention. I go on various sites because I have a genuine interest and you find out more of the interesting information from the fans.
I am sorry if I offended anyone but just got annoyed in the face of abuse.

No you mentioned liverpool i just stated that we are not on liverpool forums talking about them and the only time they get mentioned on here is if it is football and Everton related or someone who is not an evertonian starts talking about them.
Yes i assume you are a red, why? because you are obviously mocking evertons achievement this year and why would anyone do that? We have played well and even after taking a beating from the RS we still top the 2006 form table! I post on a general football forum with fans of clubs throughout brittain and the only people i have found who dislike Everton are RS.
So Rocco another reason for my assumption is your name, although it could have multiple reasons why you chose it surely the fact that red in spanish is Rojo and prenounced Rocco could indicate you may be from the dark side of the park!

Okay, well I wasn't MOCKING Everton at all, I was just suggesting an opposing view, admittedly with a slightly flawed argument but was just saying that the fixture computer did do you some favours at this time just like it clearly didn't at the start of the season.
I don't particularly dislike Everton, although what I have encountered on my two days as a member of this board is starting to change my mind a bit!
As for my name, thats a good theory which I quite like. Will have to put that to my parents who gave it to me!

Though not sure how well he'd do up against the likes of Hunter, Mackay, Harris and Tommy Smith in their heyday!
Problem is that the real hardmen back then weren't actually great players. You couldn't get away with that now. Plus the fact that players go down so easily now there's no point being a proper hardman cos you wouldn't be on the pitch very long!
