  1. I cant believe people are having a pop at Moyse for playing 4-5-1.

What formation would you rather play? 4-4-2 when we havent got 1 decent striker at the club never mind 2 and its also a formation that would nullify Tim Cahill, the only player at the club capable of scoring at the moment?

There was nothing wrong with the formation it was the players who missed all the sitters.

    This.

Am sure 4-4-2 would have worked on Footy Manager though

  2. Why the hell would Landon go to Newcastle? I'm an American and have only been a football fan for about a year, so I'm not as knowledgeable about these things, but aren't Newcastle fans vicious and upset that they're club isn't doing well, and Mike Ashley bought the club, ran a bunch of debt up, and just general turmoil when it comes to club affairs?

Newcastle fans are the best in the world! Just ask them

  3. Love it when we have them rattled  .

Mike i still go for England. Have been in Oz for 28 years and the only time I have ever supported Australia over England was at this years World Cup.

Anderson was awesome yesterday, but am not getting too carried away. Still have to bat and This is England!!!

  4. Bingham took over as manager in May 1973 at Everton and finished seventh in his first season. He brought in players such as Martin Dobson and Bob Latchford. Everton seemed likely to win the title again in 1975, but only won once in the last five games finishing fourth.

In 1975–76 Everton finished eleventh but a run of eight league games without a win resulted in Bingham being sacked in January 1977.

Gordon Lee switched to Everton in 1977. In his first season at Everton the team finished ninth and reached the League Cup Final and the FA Cup semi-finals. In the next seasons Everton mounted serious title challenges before finishing third and fourth but the 1979-80 season was deemed a failure. Lee brought in several players who were later to become successful: Kevin Ratcliffe, Graeme Sharp and Steve McMahon. Even though he was well respected by the players, Lee was sacked by Everton's chairman Philip Carter on 6 May 1981.

Argubaly, the best decision ever made for Everton!

  5. This is the first time I've seen Trap roundly criticised by everybody in Irish football. The fans are voting with their feet. No longer can we use the excuse that we don't have the players.... When you have the likes of James McCarthy, Seamus Coleman and Shane Long available to you. They may not be the best players in the world, but they're fast, adventurous and great to watch.

Irish fans know that we'll never win anything - we just want to see good football.

Everton supporter too Ian. I pity ya ;)

  6. most players are around 11 stone ish. The fact is he is weak. Messi is light but has a low centre of gravity so he can utilise what mass he hass effectively, tim Cahill is no monster but look at the way ge roughed up vidic. Pienaar for his size will take knocks, stabilise with balance and keep the ball. The problem with billy is that he is has no bulk, has no grit, his balance is not the best. The other night he fell after the slightest nudge, lost the ball and Bolton went on an attack and nearly scored.

The main factor that concerns me about him is that he has no mental or physical tenacity, you see players with it and the ones who don't have it stick out like a sore thumb. Forget technique, you need to earn the right to play. To add to that you never see him beat a man. I don't see an £11m footballer I'm afraid. Trust me, I wish I did.

    This

He also looks so lost a lot of the time. He needs to take a leaf out of Ossies book.

Osman looks lost when he plays on the right, but always has a go and he always takes his chance when played in his correct position

  7. We have to grab all 3 points today, even ill predict this will be a tough one. bolton has been on good shape lately and even i thought before the season started that they will do better this year than last, they have been even better. Too bad not much of chance for seeing this game, no links anywhere :(

Fucking hundreds(exaggeration) for the Mancs game

  8. Poor subs.

Adam looked dangerous once Heitinga was removed from the game, some lazy players in the middle of the park too!

    Happy with a draw?

Saha one may have been poor!

Though pienaar looked injured and when he was being subbed, Heitinga was signalling to come off

  9. Bench...Mucha, Hibbert, Bilyaletdinov, Rodwell, Saha, Beckford, Baxter

Think this will be tougher than some think.

We'll go behind twice but Rodders will get a late winner. 2-3.

Coleman & Cahill the other scorers.

Got the lotto numbers this week Mike!!!!
