  1. I've only found one good one outside of Liverpool in England, feel for yer in Australia not having anything close. Surprised you managed to convert the wife, my gf moans that it's carbs and carbs. Enjoy your fill before the flights back.

Pete i know.. unfortunately for me most Asian girls can eat whatever they want. I will be getting hammered in the gym when I get back☺

  2.

Sorry to hear the bad news Chris, nice touch with the wreath though.

My dad died nearly thirteen years ago (3rd August 2003) and I was with my mum today talking about him a lot. She can't remember what happened thirty seconds ago nowadays but her long term memory is dead sharp.

Coincidentally, there's a grave in my village cemetery for a five year old boy called Joshua (my lad's name) who died on the exact same day. Obviously a football fan because of the engraving and decoration; love to bump into his family one day and assure them that my dad will be looking after him.

Thanks Mike last time we had together we were able to go to Goodison to see us win against Newcastle 3-2 in 2013. We had the funeral down in Eastbourne as he had lived there for 20 years. We had Z-cars playing as we brought the coffin in

  3. Name is Chris. Was born in Whiston, rest of the family was born in Liverpool so I was always referred to as a Woolyback. Moved to Australia as a 10 year old but always followed the blues. Just back over here now to bury my Dad who took me to most games from when i was 6 until i left. Just placed a blue and white wreath from his funeral at the Dixie Dean statue yesterday

  4. Guessing you're from Liverpool as you know your scouse. Do you get many Chinese chip shops where you've moved to? I always get funny remarks in Manchester, took a while to find an Chinese chippy, nothing like the Lobster Pot in the town centre.

I live in Australia now. There is nothing like a Liverpool chippy anywhere. My better half is fron South Korea and she couldn't believe about chips, curry and rice. Brought her over a couple of years ago and its now her favorite meal ☺ Had a big night in town the other night and got a couple of kebabs and some chips and curry from the lobster pot in town

  5. Of what you have listed only Korean isn't popular, you'd only find the odd Korean bbq, but there is loads of Asian fusion so you can get some kimchi easily. Spanish is declining with pubs doing their own version with nicer version of tapas style bites with stuff like calamari or home made scotch eggs.

Italian used to be the trend, but now it's the hipster burger places and street food pop ups. That said Indian had probs stayed the most popular if you're going to a restaurant.Manchester has a road dubbed curry mile as there is that many Indians on it. Only food that you don't see every day is German, but we fill up on it during Christmas when we have The German markets.

Liverpool fish and chip shops all sell Chinese meals which is great. You can't beat chips, rice, Chinese curry sauce, and a sausage on your way home from the pub.

Have been in liverpool for the last 3 weeks and have had Chips, curry and rice with a jumbo sausage about 10 times

  6. I am in liverpool for a few weeks. 3rd time in 30 years. I went for a walk on the cycle track from Knotty Ash to Walton Hall Park. Just past Norris Green I saw a great looking modern stadium unfortunately it was Anfield and to the right you could just make out the main stand of Goodison and it looked like a shed. I love Goodison Park but from that distance it looked so old and dated compared to the shites place. I think that the most important thing for our club is to update Goodison or move to a new Stadium. Living in Australia I have such a romantic vision of our stadium but today i realised how far behind a lot of clubs we are..

  7. Spat the dummy out? - he put in his resignation on principle over Tore Andre Flo who went on to be a top striker and would have been a great signing.

The man could have done a moyes and just picked up his cash and kept quiet knowing full well that a board not giving cash = less responsibility.

Joe Royle is 100 times the evertonian moyes could ever be. Royle knew what it meant to manage Everton and demanded the best.

Guess we just see it in different ways.. Doesn't get the funds to buy a player he wants so leaves!!

Still think he could have stayed

  8. Nah he can fuck off Bill. The great Alan Ball said once Everton has touched you nothing will be the same. This knobhead derided us to the press in his first pursuit of players after joining United.

This gobshite had us paying him top whack whilst talking about penknives to gun fights and top half being a great achievement for a club like everton.

Joe Royle got us out of deeper shit and delivered a trophy. He left on principle over transfers, the boy moyes moaned about transfers then signed a big juicy contract and moaned no more.

    Made up.

Noone ever calls Joe Royle over leaving us when he spat the dummy and he left us in deep shit which wasn't fixed until Moyes came here
