  1. you have ever had the privaledge to watch! It has to be a player from your own era though, someone you have spent countless weeks at home and away watching, and wondering how is he an everton player... I havnt given my choice a long thought but for now, im going to say brett angell haha

If they played in are royal blue there all HERO'S

  2. I am not getting drawn into that idea but I remember very clearly watching Man Utd fans getting escorted from Goodison back into the city by significant police presence. I literally watched it pass by from the student I was living in at the time and this was less than two years ago.

People get stabbed/killed every week in Europe? Which parts do you mean? I know the thugs in Poland and the like are really bad but if we're talking about the Italian, Spanish, French and German leagues then I think it would be in the news every week.

Also, just because it was going to happen, as you say, does that mean it is acceptable? I mean, we're getting into a wider social issue here so I'll try not to ramble but that kind of sentiment - as maintained by lots of hooligans and associated people in this country - is exactly what is wrong with this country. This is not passion. This is not something that can be unavoidable. This is something that should be concentrated on, since we have 99% of the game sorted out, as you say.

"Man United fans being escorted back into town....." NOT really an example that backs up your argument.....

    Afer about 30s of searching.....http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8068088.stm

""The stabbings are now so frequently they are hardly reported in the Italian press," says Prof Foot. "A rival fan is stabbed at nearly every Roma game but it only hits the headlines when foreign fans are attacked at a game like the Champions League final.""

I dont think you read my post v well... I said it was "NOT ACCEPTABLE" not its only 1% of the game so lets forget about it....

  3. I was listening to the radio last night after the match and a few dodgy people phoned up who were 'ex hooligans' saying that people who took their children to the match were naive and that this was always going to happen and it will never change.

It is all really sad and I think it is pathetic when the press, ex-players and other pundits get righteous and judgemental when talking about violence and crowd trouble in other countries because the fact is that it is still very much happening in this country and we should all be talking about and concentrating on our own problems first.

I don't agree with that.... football in this country is now becoming a family sport.... 99% of games go off without any serious trouble and you rarely hear of people being stabbed/killed.

This is a weekly occurrence all over Europe and yet the governing bodies / media love to jump on the English when ANYTHING happens....

I don't agree with what happed last night but it was GOING to happen... they were even talking about it about 5pm on TalkSport.. hoping that there would be no crowd trouble....

In my 15 years or so of going the match Ive never really seen/heard anything more than bad/racist language. NOT ACCEPTABLE but its not like were back in the 70's with all the football violance....

The behavior last night was NOT ACCEPTABLE but don't get draw into believing that football in this country is in a bad way....

  4. Not surely I entirely agree. For me its balance and being able to keep the ball for two minutes.

Paul Scholes couldn't tackle for sh*t but you wouldn't say he wasn't suited to 4-4-2.

Rodders adds more defensively ability that Arteta but that doesn't mean Mikel has no tackling ability whatsoever.

Anyway we will see what Moyesy decides. Can't see him dropping Cahill to be honest.

Its the 88 minutes WITHOUT the ball that are important

"Paul Scholes couldnt tackle for shit" But ROY KEANE COULD

  5. Those comments are overly harsh on Ossie but I think we'll see Neville and Pienaar down the right against Fulham with Rodwell or Fellaini in the holding role in centre mid.

I dont think Im harsh at all. If you watch closely hes allways infield.... that sort of leaves Hibbert in the lurch....

His passing is bad... and he gives the ball away more than anyone esle when in bad positions.... (offensive & defensive)

He doesnt track back... how often is Hibbert left to defend on his own???????

  6. Osman doesn't track back, Pienaar does, so that may give Hibberto a big more confidance, only time will tell tho

Osman is usless on the right........ just watch him play... he spends most of his time infield...miles away from Hibbert.... He doesnt track back, He carnt pass, he doesnt offer Hibbert any help & he loses the ball in bad positions.... hes fucking useless......

He looks better in the center but I think his time has come to an end................

  7. Guys, Banega isn't a defensive midfielder, he's a deep lying playmaker :P

    ------------------ Howard ------------------------------

    Hibbertoni - Jags - Yobo - Baines

    Pienaar - Neville - Arteta - Bilyaletdinov

    ------------------- Cahill ----------------------------------

    ------------------------ Yakubu -----------------------------

Bench: Nash, Rodwell, Fellaini, Saha, Banega, Osman, Jo

Don't know whether we'd go 2 strikers on the bench or put Duffy on there for cover at the back.

 class... I LOVE IT...... I can see him sprinting down the wing already....in his tight blue Italian top (playing at home with his kids obviously) HIBBERTONI he screams as he wellies a 30 yarder past his five year old....

  8. An accurate profile of this fella....

    http://www1.uefa.com/tournament/players/player=73080/index.html

    "Did you know?

Bilyaletdinov acquired the No63 shirt when he first joined Lokomotiv and has stuck with it to this day"

I wonder if we would give him that number... he seems to like it......

Anyway..... He can play in the center or as an attacking midfielder... plus hes the current captain of loko moscow....

I fancy him replacing Fellini at the moment.... But.. he did switch Pienaar a couple of times against Sigma.... maybe he was trying it out.......

  9. Yes defence has to be the priority now, with Bilya Dinov AND Ever Banega coming in, and Arteta coming back from injury i think next years transfer money might come from the sale of Fellaini.

Mo has to grab every game by the scruff of the neck and really impose himself by having an outstanding season, or i think Davey might ship him out.

Do you think we would get more if we put him in for an extream makeover...

  10. Hey, I am not the real Bilya of course. I just follow the Russian league closely, so I have seen Bilya play at least 100 times over the last 5 years. I actually like Bilya, so I posted my comments here in order for Everton fans not to get too excited about him. Don't get your expectations too high. When I saw the Arshavin comparisons, I just had to post something. He is not Arshavin, and will never be even close. But, if he gains some confidence, he will be a very decent player for you. I think you guys will instantly like all the ball tricks he has up his sleeve: step overs, little flicks and such...... the question with him is always how effective is all that fancy footwork......come to think of it, he has some Brazilian-like qualities. So yeah, just be patient, and Bilya could be all right!

The original rumour of Vladimir Bystrov would have been more appealing, as Bystrov is ready for the premier league, with his blistering pace on the wing. He is really comparable to Arjen Robben. I would not be surprised to see him go to one of the big 4 after the World Cup. He would really look good in a Man U shirt......

Not from you seat in the City Stand I hope...........

I mean.... come on who watches the Russian League..........

& if your from another part of the world....... well done with your v v good english.....

  11. yeah thats what i dont get... Moyes has even commented on this, so we cant say the whole thing is made up, but with valencia and the playerr even denying any involvement with this deal, makes you wonder what is actually going on...

Spanish clubs allways seem to do this however............... I believe Valencia have got wind of our transfer dealings and are holding out for a better deal..............

  12. I think people are getting a little carried away with the scoreline tbh because from my seat we didn't actually play as well as we should against this sort of team. We started off like shit and we still are not closing down space effectively, and our lack of pace is there for all to see and we played most of the game at a walking pace letting them regroup on each of our attacks. It's job done obviously and we were better than against Arsenal but a better side would have beat us last night, so I hope we get the necessary players in that will improve us.

Howard - Shaky start but he made a few excellent saves.

Hibbert - I thought he had a shite first-half but he was solid in the second half.

Yobo - He had a decent game I can't remember him doing anything wrong.

Neville - I thought he played really well, especially when you consider he's not a CB or a natural left footer.

Baines - Back to his old self going forward but still needs to improve defensively.

Osman - Complete wank until he was moved into the middle where he looked like a completely different player. It's a shame we won't be able to accomodate in the middle.

Cahill - Playing as a proper midfielder is meaning he's completely lost and ineffective.

Rodwell - I didn't actually think he stood out tbh (apart from his goals obviously). He played OK and he went about his work quietly and his second goal was an absolute peach. He's going to be a star for us in the future (if we can keep hold of him) but Moyes is definitely correct to bring him on slowly.

Pienaar - Ran into a few dead ends but his link-up play with Baines was back and he had a pretty good game.

Fellaini - For me he was anonymous and the game passed him by.

Saha - Excellent performance from King Louis. He held the ball up well, tracked back, hassled defenders and rounded it all off with 2 superb goals. My MOTM.

Id agree with most of that.. except Im still blaming most of Hibberts BAD moment on Leon Osman and I thought Rodwell pipped Saha to MOTM... just because I thought he did well coming into a team low on confidence and not putting a foot wrong..... 2 good goals aswell

  13. Typical! First Bangera and now him, and people think these false transfer stories don't exist? No other club in the top flight does this as much as Everton, just killing time until the deadline then they'll come out with the usual 'oh we were this close bollocks'.

    Yawn :sleeping_02: Yawn :sleeping_02: Yawn :sleeping_02:

  14. well yesterday my mates sister and girlfirend phoned up and got good seats in lower gwladys, which suggests to me that there are still a number of seats left, i dont think it will be anywhere near a full house, hope im wrong though, love euro nights when the ground is full :) 5pm finish in work straight to the pub for a few then into the ground :)

Unfortunately European games at this stage of the season are always shit...... The ground is NEVER full and those that are there are just anticipating a win... sooo if things don't exactly go to plan......

The atmosphere will be shite for the above reason... always v quiet at this stage..

Saying that ill be sitting there with my Bovril  in the cold fucking rain hoping we get a convincing win....

 I'm sure your girlfriend will love it

  15. definitely not. I was typing as they were saying it on talksport. There is a possibility that they added it.

    Yea there allways doing it......

from Talksport...paraphrasing moyes quote: "Joleon's attitude has not been right the past days. he has disappointed me and disappointed his team mates. he will not be playing. he is still not for sale. He can sit and grate cheese on his glingon head for all I care."
