Robb said.............. ""But anybody who thinks that becasue we are currently sitting in 5th with an outstanding plus 16 goal, over the next couple of year we are going to be compeating as a genuine top 4 challenger is in for a major disapointment.""

Rob, thats why i replied to your original Post, So what if we are not classed as one the big Four.
As Liam said lets continue how we are now with regular visits into Europe, maintain a healthy position in the league and maybe, just maybe, after a few years we will be looked at as one of the Big Five.
But basically I'm saying be proud and be happy about who we are, we might have been Cambridge United, or Chesterfield supporters, but thank god we are the Chosen.
Bill.
I totally agree. We are a very successful club. Tons of clubs would love the opportunity to constantly play in the premiership. Year afer year we are competitive and we are putting together a solid squad, maybe even the best outside the top 4. Although it would be nice to have more money the fact of the matter is we don't. Will we soon who knows, but we can't do anything about that. We can only be concerned with the things we have control of. I can see us makng a nice push in UEFA and continue to build from there.

Good for Moyes. I really hope he wins the case. Rooney is a douce bag but the money we have gotten from him is good. It would be the perfect closure for Moyes to take his money.

To break the top 4 we would need more investment into the squad in my opinion. The top four are getting even more money to spend. We don't need a huge takeover but enough for Moyes to add quality depth to the squad. Moyes has done a fine job in my opinion with what he has got. Sure he has had some bad buys but he has also added some quality players and is building a good squad. A litle more money into the club would be nice to make a good push for the top 4. With that being said I have been very impressed all year with our defence. Hopefully we can keep up the goal difference as the season comes to an end.

Extending his contract for another year is not a bad move at all. He isn't going to cost much and he is very durable and reliable. You know what you are getting with Cars on the pitch. You would think he would want to sign with the club for another year if we make Europe.

I just watched trainspotting earlier this week. Good movie.

Thats awesome. I wouldn't be able to recognize him.I got a photo on my phone of my daughter with Andy Grey before the Fulham gameShe said "Whos he", so I told Andy whata she said and he said "Ye well, what do you expect" (with a bit of a wry smile)
He was really big, 6'2" or so and stocky, always though he was a short arse

I am reading a book called Our Stolen Future by Theo Colborn. It is a book about different pollutants in this world and the effects they have. It is interesting but a bit scary. Some of the things I would rather not know about.

I was saying if Kamara is £6m why not try and pay 2 more million for Gamst but if United are interested then thats the end of that.Dont know where you get you £2m from Joe, its on teletext today that United will take the option of an £8m release clause in his contract. They want him ......... allegedly. -

Thats what I thoughtIntertoto is 8th this year (or whoever is the highest finisher below 7th who entered it); 5th-7th are guaranteed UEFA Cup spots. As long as we finish 5, 6, or 7, we'll go straight into September's first round. If we ended up playing Intertoto we'd have to play that first and then (assuming a win) we'd be entered into the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup in August. So we'd have to go through two steps more to get to the first round than we would if we simply finish 7th or better. -
For 2 million pounds more I'd rather go after a guy like Gamst Pederson. He would be a great addition to the club.

The first thing on Moyes agenda should be to negotiate a deal that extends Arteta contract (imo). Then he can go out and buy some players. I do think he will stay though. I also think Arteta winning the Everton player award helps. It shows him how important he is to us.

I agree about not wanting him. He is a good player but too expensive. Might as well just get Nugent.
-
The few minutes that I saw of him on Sunday was not enough time for me to judge his ability. I would have to see more of him before I decided.

If we get the Intertoto spot I am going to try and buy tickets since I will be over there when it takes place. I'd rather qualify for Europe without having to go to the intertoto though. Is the intertoto spot 7th then?

It's coming soonWheres your Everton tattoo Joe? You seem to have one for everything else -
I don't really want Everton to go after Reo-Coker. If we cant get Fernandes I would much rather try and get Barton. Barton> Reo-Coker.

I never run into anyone interesting here.
