The question is...
Do we have that touch of class, that someone who wants to be the hero...
1-0 Cahill!
-
I said it before, but to have it in the right thread...
Fellaini will win this one for us, 1-0.
-
We can dream I suppose.
-
Who voted for Tim Howard? Scottish Red?
-
If you had told me no Arteta, no Fellaini, and no striker besides Anichebe I would've taken a draw today. Although Howard is in the doghouse now.
Fellaini scores a smashing header in the late stages to take us to the next round 1-0!
-
Supply him, he'll score. He'd offer us another option. I'd love bent but we can't afford him and doubt spurs would loan him (unless they sign a couple more strikers).
Feed the *scribbles out Yak* Hugo!
I agree, Bent is not realistic. This really is our best shot.
Speaking of Valente's involvement, I know some people want to get rid of him but he has been an absolute professional to the club. We could do a lot worse for a reserve left back and he's always willing to do his part if we ever try to bring in a player he can relate to.
-
You are right. Every round in the FA Cup has a potential replay (other than the semis and the final).
That's what I thought. This has a draw written all over it.
Then, at Goodison Fellaini scores the game winning goal!
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but a draw=replay at Goodison correct? Or does it depend on the round?
I have it 1-1...Torres for them, Cahill for us.
-
Stevie P put in a great deal of work tonight and was responsible for a lot of the link up play.
Normally I go for the goal scorer, but I was very impressed with him today.

GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I think if we can get Arteta involved a little bit more going forward, this game is there for the taking.
1-0 Osman with a cracking goal! COYB!

I have my doubts whether the Real Madrid story was even true but if it was then there could be many reasons he didn't want to leave - ie sitting on the bench, relocating his family etc. Personally, I've been thinking about this one for a while and think it would be a good deal even if we bought him now for £2m. He destroyed us a few seasons back when he played for Birmingham, he has pace, he can cross the ball and is a talented player, far more of an out and out winger than anyone we have on our books and most Liverpool fans I know can't understand why Benitez just suddenly froze him out (like he did with Crouch) and rate him much better than the likes of Benayoun. I'd take him in a blink of an eye for £2m, on a free it would be an absolute steal.
The problem isn't the transfer fee, it's the wages.

Knowing Moyes...if Yobo is back to full health expect to see Baines at LM and Lescott at LB. I don't think he is though; I haven't been able to find an article about this on their site?
Personally I'd put in Gosling, then move Osman inside.
As long as we don't pull a Bolton...
-
If we found a way to come out with Saviola on a loan, I'd be absolutely thrilled.
-
Thas some memory you have there...........
I can understand memory as "he always killed us when he was at Charlton"...
Memorizing his goal record with Charlton though? I am calling BS on that one

Sooner or later he has to play. The Big Fella and Arteta, 2-0.
Correct score, players, and order of goals.

only saw a bits and pieces so far.fellaini's yellow card, was it deserved?
Ehh, quite honestly I thought it was a tad harsh.

Hull
in Match Days
Premier league my eye. Hull are a bit of an old joke now and everyone had figured them out. Fellaini should have been brought off, we've got more than enough without him to keep Hull from getting two goals back. The card was an absolute joke of a card but Moyes knew it was coming and should have made the substitution.Hindsight is 20/20. I think he did the right thing.
Taking the emotion out of it, each game is worth 3 points. Odds are he would've been carded in the first Derby match.
Sooner or later, he had to play. you can't just keep holding him out of every match so he can play in the "good ones".

Hull

Fellaini has got to come off. Played well, but will certainly pick up a card if he keeps playing, chance for Castillo or Gosling to have a good run out.We are only up by 2 against a Premier League team. It is hardly in the bag.

We bought Bakayoko on the back of a video of his "greatest clips" and he turned out to be less than Pele, and I'm always wary of players that come straight from the French league as I, personally, don't think it's strong enough.
Plus, if they want a fee, as is widely mentioned unlikely.
I noticed earlier that Landon Donovan has gone to Bayern Munich. seeing as their league has finished, and he and Beckham have come over to Europe for a few months is there anything decent in that league we could nab on loan? Or is Brian McBride as good as it gets??!?!?!
Cahill would be the top striker in MLS, heck Tony Hibbert would be a top 5 striker in MLS.
Honestly I'm not in favor of Gomis for a loan signing; he would take the entire period just getting adjusted to the physicality of the game.

american football postseason :
AFC : indy - SD , Baltimore - Miami
byes : tennessee, pittsburgh
NFC : atl - arizona , philly - minnesota
byes : giants, carolina
my bets would be indy to win AFC
and philly to make in the NFC
indy to win the superbowl. (wouldn't like it if they won but can't see anyone stopping them).
btw completely rediculous that teams like san diego and arizona are in the postseason while a perfectly capable 11-5 pats team are out.
arizona and san diego will both get destroyed in the first round.
I think you underestimate the importance of home field mate.
Due to their salary cap, the top 20 teams are a lot closer in terms of talent.

Hull

With 2 games away to Pool coming up and on the 9 yellows I can't think that we'll play Fellaini against Hull.Hull have been a bit off and I can't see us not winning this one. 2-0 sounds good.
Cahill and Joleon.
Sooner or later he has to play.
The Big Fella and Arteta, 2-0.

Me being as blue as I am, absolutely love this draw.
In 2 games, we can single handedly shatter their confidence.
There is no question in my mind that we want the Cup more this year. My initial gut says we end up drawing it 1-1 or 2-2 with a replay at Goodison.
I think the League game may be tougher, but it's the derby. Anything can (and will) happen.
