  1. Hibbert wasn't shit at all .

The team as a whole were poor , and uncreative .

I apparently am in the minority, but I thought he was absolutely dreadful.

Was out of position on the first half Macc chance, while he was going forward his crosses seemed to always deflect off the first guy.

Not to mention their first chance in stoppage time that honestly a better player would've buried, he slipped and allowed the lad a crack from 15 yards away.

The only player that outdid him was Anichebe. He was even worse.

Don't take this as a doom and gloom post, I actually thought we played our typical style of game and imposed our will on them. I just think Hibbert and Anichebe didn't cut it today.

  2. After thinking about it, the only way I'd sell is if I knew Moutinho or Veloso was coming in.

If Arteta didn't request a transfer over the summer, I don't think he will now. I don't think you could find a handful of fans at Goodison who dislike Arteta. I also think he likes the Everton way.

Pip or Hibbert on the other hand... :D

  3. Caps shouldn't be an issue. He frequents their starting XI.

He's more of a forward/winger than a striker, so I'm not positive how he'd fit into the 451. I think he'd be a fish out of water if we left him up top alone, but if he played off of Saha I think it'd be a steal.

Not sure if we will be able to get him in the end, while he's not "class" he has the talent to easily be ahead of Ossie in the lineup.

  4. Just for a second, consider all the stories that have been going on...and where do we once again find ourselves?

    In a European Place. :D

Great job by the boys, if you all can remember to the Big Fella's (my choice for his best nickname  ) first game to now, he is really starting to adjust and settle into the squad. Anyone know how his English is coming?

    Great effort overall though.

  5. To help raise some of the doom and gloom, I know we've had threads like this in the past.

Any goals that will forever be a special memory or a favorite goal in general?

McFadden's goal: how could you not be excited about that one.

I'll always remember Andy Johnson's goal against Arsenal in the 90th minute. It was the first time I had ever been to Liverpool and the first Everton game I ever attended. The atmosphere, hail just pouring down, the timing of the goal, I can't remember a stadium being so loud.

As a side story, my girlfriend and I didn't know anything about the bus schedule, so after waiting 45minutes in the freezing cold with rain coming down, we ended up walking a mile or two before we finally hit a bus stop that was being serviced :D We accidently ended up at Anfield (dont know how close Goodison and Anfield is in actual distance but, we ended up there after a lengthy walk!). My girl said to me "what does you'll never walk alone mean?" before I even realized where we had ended up. Ahh the memories :P

  6. Moyesy doesn't see Fellatio (think that should be his name now) as a holding player interestingly.

So I wonder how he fits in the dynamic of the team? He doesn't have a massive goal return so I can't see him playing as advanced as TC.

Perhaps more of a Hargreaves type character energising the team than a sitting player like Makelele.

“I don’t think for one minute that he is another Lee Carsley. I see (Segundo) Castillo as being the one who will play like Cars. What his arrival does, though, is give us the competition we have needed in midfield.

Based on that, I think he'll be right in the middle between Arteta and Pienaar/Osman.

    --------------Castillo-----------------

    Arteta--------Fellaini--------Peanuts

    --------------Cahill-------------------

  7. I guess for the time being, here is our lineup

    -----------------------Howard-----------------------

    Pip/Jacobsen---Yobo----------Jags--------Lescott

    Arteta----------Fellaini--------Castillo------Osman

    ----------------Yakubu---------Saha----------------

    Bench

    Nash

    Baines

    Rodwell

    Anichebe

    Vaughan

When completely healthy it gets tricky...

    --------------------Howard----------------------------

    Pip----------Yobo-----------Jags-------------Lescott

    ------------Castillo--------Fellaini---------------------

    Arteta-----------------------------------------Pienaar

    --------------------Cahill-------------------------------

    --------------------Yakubu------------------------------

    Bench

    Nash

    Baines

    Jacobsen

    Saha

    Vaughan

    Osman

    Rodwell

  8. Nope, the 2 loan player ruling is for players from another Premiership club.

I seem to remember you can have 4 or 5 loan players - certainly only allowed to name 4 loan players in the squad for a Premiership match.

    Nice. :D

I mean, he'd get a lot of UEFA cup games with us..don't see how it could be a difficult decision for him...
