  1. I really think Sidwell's market may be too much for us, although you never know-he may really want to play for Everton, or Moyes..etc. The Summer signings completely depend on Fernandes. I think if he costs over 8 million we will just stay away. It also depends on if Arteta wants to leave. Reo-Coker is an option we will probably look into if we don't keep ahold of Fernandes. Once again it comes down to the price though. I'm not a fan of Barton's style to be honest. I'd still like to add Nugent to play along side AJ, signing him likely would mean Beattie and possibly Anichebe wanting to go also. We also need to add a solid defender. I think when it's all said and done- we will probably just see a new starting midfielder, left back and some depth players.
  2. I am in my last year of getting my Bachelors Degree (classes from the US and France) - studying Global Supply Chain Operations Management as well as HR. I was always told back home to have the company you work for pay the grad school bills..so I am going to try and go that route.
  3. I think thats the key. If the investment is there then making the move becomes very attractive. I don't think redeveloping Goodison is the proper answer though. It would require a complete overhaul.
  4. You gotta add starters when you can- fill in the holes with younger talent. Fernandes provides a long term answer to a position with the chance to be something special. Same with Nugent. I am for having either one next year.
  5. Villa has been floundering as of late- Carew seems to fizzle out after 60 minutes, Young hasn't made much of an impact. I'll say 2-1 Everton....Fernandes puts one in early, Carew right before the end of the 1st half, and Arteta in the 2nd.
  6. No, I do not have millions.. I am in Paris studying Business and am taking advantage of England being so close. I have only been really following it at the start of this year. ESPN's Premiership Fantasy League (Doing quite well actually..150th or so and in the 99.5% percentile) got me hooked, although I did play "soccer" for 13 years back home in the US. Does anyone have any advice on the easiest way to get to the stadium(Taxi?)? I will be staying about 7 km away (a bit too far to just walk it) and I don't know if game traffic is that of the events in the United States. Also, on Saturday will there be St. Patrick's Day events? In the US they celebrate it (don't ask why) with 25 cent Beers and lots of parties at the Bars. Thank you all for your hospitality.
  7. Just thought I'd introduce myself..I'm actually an American (Tim Howard supporter ) that has just recently started following Premiership football/Everton. This weekend I'm actually headed to watch Everton vs Arsenal so I've been trying to find out more about the club and what not before I go Also if anyone has any suggestions for sightseeing or pubs to go to (Would there be any specials like there is in the States at select bars on St. Patrick's Day?) please let me know! So far I only have planned the game and the tour of the stadium.
