  1. How does a team that has 4 solid international defenders and plays two defensive midfielders in front of them conceded every single game?

I agree. We have a team full of defenders that (according to media) everyone wants to buy, yet as a team we cant defend. Strange

  2. It has to be the coaching. Players make mistakes all the time, but this 'keep the ball at all costs' is just suicidal at times. If Stones thinks that was the right decision he needs therapy. Martinez will probably back him and say he's young. But there is a time and place for it. that wasnt it, simple as. Manager should be going mad about it, but i doubt he does

  3. Agree with all that has been said.

Awful performance........constant, straight long balls.....totally ineffective

Its all well playing 3 strikers but if we haven't got the ball how can we pass to them?? We never got near their midfield, and they fully deserved their goal.

All in all it was a very very bad day at the office for almost everybody concerned (a couple did well)

Away leg will be interesting as on the evidence of tonight Metalist can actually play football, something that we seem to be unable to do

  4. I'm pleased he's back

Yes i know he had 6 good months out of 3 years with us, but they were GOOD 6 months, that effectively set us up for Champs league

He's a quality player, and tho he may not be exactly the signing most people would have wanted or indeed expected its not like we've signed an unknown player is it???

I can see why people are surprised, (as he's not getting the celtic team) but why the doom and gloom??

I really can't see why some people on this forum get so depressed when the club dare sign a player that isn't who they wanted. As long as he gives 100% and playe to his ability, then why not go for him?? It's only a loan for christ sake.

If your that embarassed, support someone else

I now wait with baited breath for the torrent of abuse likely to come my way

  5. excellent preformance, and excellent 3 points.

We may play the long ball tactic that so many blues seem to hate, but christ do we we play it well.

Away teams start with a point......so keep it. We did more than that and took all of them. The key to this is the discipline that Moyes has installed into the players minds. The way we held the shape, and proved so so difficult to break down (against an excellent passing team) was simply brilliant.

A triumph of tactics for Moyes yesterday.

We even had chances to score 5 or 6..........really really pleased.

Thought most players were excellent but special mention to Ossie (who has his critics), he played fantastic last night

    Bring on Reading!!

  6. Listened to it on website

First half sounded good, Arteta ripping KK apart

Second half sounded quite poor. Kirkland made a few saves, but it wasn't like we were all over them for long periods.

I predicted a struggle, which is what always happens against Wigan, so i am over the fucking moon that we have secured 3 points on the opening day. To beat a 'bogey' team is good news.

We'll play better this season, but we'll also play worse.

Wigan didn't sound like they had any momentum really......could they struggle?

Well done boys, job done, 3 valuable points in the bag

    Roll on Tuesday!!

  7. At least we know what we know what to expect at the next big championships..........start ok........promise to improve in the final stages, because winning when not playing great is a good sign...........go out before the final stages..........he's a useless fucker...........get rid!! :angry2:

Apart from the PR stunt of getting rid of Becks, has he actually changed anyhting?? Style of play?? personnel??
