Before we even consider selling him we need to have a replacement in the squad. Again a striker with a bit of pace as it gives us something different if we want to go to a 4-5-1 to defend a lead and Bent does give us pace up front. Don't know if Keane is a 'fast' striker like Bent or more slower like Beattie

As Toffeelicker said will he accept our wages???? If RM want rid of him I would hope that he would look to come back to Everton, but then again UTD are reported to be interested in him (UTD or Everton???)

How did we play. All I know is that we won 1 nil and BT hit the bar and they hit the post. Did we deserve to win? was it a close game? How did VDM play?

Yeah I thought they said somethign about 6 weeks. To be honest can't see him in the first team for a while even once he is fit. With Ferg, Bent, Beattie, Mcfadden and even VDM fit think he will struggle to get back into the team at the moment.

Think he will go with the same team if Ferg is ok to play again. Also not sure if Valente or Ferrari will be back in time but even if they are would think they would go with same team

Impressed with VDM and the best thing is don't think he is 100% fit. So hopefully can only get better.

Still worryinly is the fact that we still onlyscored 1 goal. Created a few changes in the first half and could have been 2 or 3 up at the end. However we still missed about 3 or 4 GOOD chances to score and nice to see that we had the luck to hang onto the 1 goal lead. Thought VDm was great in the first half but went a bit quite in the second when we were defending more. Should some great control and his passing was good yesterday and showed he was willing to get back and defend as well. Still a long way to go but another couple of wins and maybe can put the first part of the season behind us.

VDM Started and meant to be playing ery well. With corsses from VDM and Davies then Cahill and Ferg should get a few over the next few games. Neville at left back and Kilbane dropped to the bench

I would look at playing Yobo there. He has the pace and am sure he will manage there for a game or 2. Could most prob handle Pennent as well. Play Koldrup and Weir in the middle and Yobo on the left. he likes to get forward as well

Would like to see what Cahill and Ferg can make of the crosses from VDM and if we can get Davies and Hobbo crossing as well we should be able to get a few goals

The last I heard they are in the squad and they are hoping to be fit

The problem with not playing Kilbane there is that it means you have to play Neville there and can't afford to take him out of the midfield. Play Kilbane left back and VDM on left wing
