Manchester City are set to gazump neighbours United for Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell.
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini admits he needs to improve his squad for City’s first foray into the Champions League next season and is understood to be considering an offer for £20million-rated Rodwell as soon as the season is over.
England Under-21 star Rodwell has been a long-term target of Sir Alex Ferguson’s, but City could tempt Everton with a cash-plus-player deal.
Everton boss David Moyes is keen on taking either Emmanuel Adebayor or Craig Bellamy, who will both return to City this summer after loan spells at Real Madrid and Cardiff respectively.
Moyes also rates James Milner, who has not been a regular at Eastlands since his move from Aston Villa
I'd happily take Adebayor or Milner plus a few mill!!

out of yet another cup. it makes our bad season a little bit better due to the fact that the red shite's has been just as bad!
-
I think it's time he was given a real chance in the first team. Can't be any worse than Saha or the Yak have been so far this season!

Baines for me

I reckon this would be a quality signing. Obviously not a long term investment to the club, but the kind of player who could give us a couple of good seasons and get us into that top 4 finish.

Hopefully this whole saga will end soon, its starting to get a bit tedious now. Moyes has obviously offered him a new contract which he feels is acceptable. He either signs it or he carries on whining, trying to get as much out of us as he can, in which case Moyes should just say enough is enough and sell..
Use the money to bring in Donovan?

it wont let me change the image for some reason Bill so I'll just remove it

I voted for 4th. I have a real strong feeling that we're going to be right up there in the challenge for a champions league place this season. We've got a really strong squad with no big injuries and having no European football in the way means we can concentrate all our focus on the league, with players having more of a rest compared to the other teams in the run in.. plus I think Beckford is going to explode on the premier league when given the chance.

Moyes is saying on Sky Sports News that West Ham offered 6mil sometime last month for The Yak then came back this week with a 5mil offer.

He came on as sub for Mexico against Argentina and looked quality! Other clubs are in for him and may offer more money but he looks a player.
I thought he was awesome when he came on in that game, brought a lot more going forward and Argentina really struggled against him. If that game was a sign of things to come then I say snap him up Moyes!

I would love you see Elia at Goodison, he'd be an awesome signing! But tbh i really can't see it happening.. Lets just hope Moysey does us proud and signs him up!

We should get that Zoran guy to design our kits. Damn near every kit on his blog is fecking awesome.

I'm sure Landon is smart enough to know why those players he's 'set to replace' are looking for a way out of that club!
Seems abit obvious to me that if a player with the ability of Deco wants to leave the club then its obviously a no go area. And lets face it, he'll only be sat on the bench anyway. I'd love to see him move here permanently and hopefully DM can sort something out, tbh Landon seems like a pretty switched on guy and he seemed to enjoy his time here and you only had to see the emotion from the fans and players when he scored against Hull at the weekend how much he is appreciated.. so with all that in mind i think if he does come to the EPL then i'd put money on him coming to us

I think Moyes needs to play Rodwell just behind the striker, he is popping up with some great goals!
Same! Especially hearing the comments made on Sky after the match, they we're all in agreement that Jack can use his left near enough as good as his right. He's got a cracking shot on him, great balance and and eye for where everyone around him his.. Next Timmy Cahill?

Kieron is a great keeper. I used to see him play alot at Carlisle before he signed for Coventry and had a great talent then, and im sure the championship experiance would have improved him alot.. so sign him up IMO
