  1. hopefully chelsea will get into the champs leauge final, play man utd.. got to extra time.. then pentaltys.. lampard and drogba pick up a few niggling injuries that'll keep them out for a few weeks.. most of their players will absolutly shagged out after playing 120+ againts arguably the best team in the world.. win the game and get so drunk they dont even remeber theyve won..

then 3 days later come up against a fresh everton team, prepared and with the belief they can beat another top 4 team in the competiotion, in the fa cup final at wembely..

    no problems :P

  2. i agree he hans't been very useful lately, but getting rid of a him would be very foolish.

He is a classplayer and i say IS because you can't just loose that. Also, he's cheap as hell and certainly with our budget, thats a big advantage.

If he can get a few games and a period without injurys, i think he will gain confidence, and hopefully rise to his best level next season.

Totally agree.. i mean where are we going to get a striker with the experiance, and quality that saha has/had, for as cheap as we have, came on a free and i dont expect his wages are breaking the bank

  3. Although the Brazilian has impressed in his short spell at Goodison Park so far, City have not ruled him out of their plans for next season and would want at least £12million for a permanent deal.

This is the same amount Moyes is said to be confident would land Crouch from Fratton Park, although this could be further reduced if Pompey lose their top-flight status

If it says man city would want at least 12 mil to let jo go, and moyes thinks thats how much crouch is going to set us back.. then isnt it logic get jo? lets face it pompy are probs going to stay up abd jo has even admitted he would rather play for us than city, and hughes isnt that dumb to keep a player that would rather be of at another club... or is this just me with some rather wishful thinking

  4. I wouldn't go that far. He's good but I really don't think he is that great. I've seen him play quite a few times, both on tv and live. He ha scored a few good goals, notabally against Charlton, but they are the bottom team. But he misses way too many easy chances even at championship level. He'd cost too much for the type of player we'd get.

I agree, i dont think he's that great.. but i think if we can snap him up cheap then see how moyes uses him cus he could fit in well with our crossing game

  5. Some news on this front, João Moutinho just renewed his contract with Sporting until 2014.

The release clause has been lowered to £20m, and the player will no longer receive 10% of a future transfer, or 10% of future offers over £13.3m.

Don't know if this means he will stay for sure, but for once, it makes it clearer that both Sporting and him are interested in him staying. The release clause lowered might make him more atractive for other clubs also.

João Moutinho renews his contract with Sporting

Pretty ugly translation, but I've read the document sent to our Market Regulatory Entity (CMVM), and it's pretty much what I wrote.

But that makes out like there are willing to sell though.. think about it, a release clause of 20mil.. which says that the club have a target at which to sell him at and the player wont receive the 10% of his fee for him meaning the clube will keep the money

this contract must have been a way of the club showing that there might think of letting him move to bigger clubs

  6. Yesterday he was absolutely hurrendous, one of the worst games ive seen him play. Never got to the ball, tried fancy things that never happend and gave away possession. The one thing i remember him doing was 1 tackle, i might be being harsh but i don't think there was anything else from him?

I totally agre with that.. yday was poor and he was gone even before the 90 mins were up

  7. I think Jo could be a real winner. He only had 6 or something games at City.. and that is no where near enough to prove yourself. And is there a clause in the loan deal meaning we can buy him after? Because if there is and we can get him upto the form he was at CSKA with a reasonable price tag then id snap him up straight away.

  8. Got a couple of mates who are Arsenal fans, and that rumour was doing the rounds a long time ago. Seem to remember him going through a big mental breakdown of some sort around about the same time too.

If he is, he is. So what! Nothing to with the ability to play football. One of the best centre backs to play in this country.

Agreed his sexuality is his choice and those chanta were qwful,, if hed of been wearing an England shirt instead of a Pompy one i bet the chants wouldnt have been branded around. shows the ficklty of some fans.

  9. He was, before he went to Liverpool, an Everton supporter. Personally I think he'd be good for Everton and certainly a massive improvement on Johnson, though the question should be, can Everton afford to pay his wages? I do not think he will join Everton the club he supported as a kid his wage demand is too high ,but yes I do agree he would bring an attacking change to my team and if he stayed fit then we could be a force.

Surely if hes an Everton fan then hed be up for taking a cut in his wages to play for the club he supprts/supported :lol: i mean its not like he needs the money the amount hes earned over his playing carrer, i expect he's got enough money now to retire comfortably.. <_<
