I was warming to the idea of Irvine and woke up one morning and seen Roberto was in talks and was undecided on it but after watching his interviews with the chairman and technical director i've warmed to the idea. West Ham have the same set up at Upton Park with the foreign set up and they haven't done to bad. Hopefully we will follow in suite, doubt it though with our chairman in charge. Full behind Di Matteo though and most of our fans are. Big name manager, hopefully he can attract big name players.

According to our local paper who are normally bang on for transfers are saying Villa will offer him a deal some time this week for 3m a season.

You might not remember me but I'm your local Albion fan I'd be devastated if Olly left us, none of us Albion fans heard of him when he first came and was like who's this lad then ? He was a bit shaky at the start of the season as some of you might know as we played you early on. But oh boy has he improved or what, one of the best centre backs I've ever seen at the Albion. His positioning sense isn't the best but he loves his tackle and is immense in the air and can bring the ball out and pass which is his main attribute. Most of us want him as captain next year to replace Greening who's getting on a bit sadly. If you did offer him a contract I cant see him turning down top 6 football most seasons and getting the chance to play in Europe instead of going to Leicester ( Oh the fun we are in for next season! ) He'd be a good signing for any team bar the top 4. Cant see him getting into your team though ahead of dingle Lescott and Jagielka who I rate as one of the best CB in the prem. Don't expect to get him for anything under 5m though as our Chairman gets immense deals like Kamara and Koumas for a combined fee of 12m. Feel free to send us a couple of players on loan next season after this shocking season. Good luck for the rest of the season and next.

KP wanted a 2 year deal up straight and i don't think he would have cut it in the Prem but he would have been good against the likes of Stoke..Fulham..'Ull ETC. We offered him a 1 year deal and he had to play/sub role for 16 games to activate the second year. Kitson is a very good player as you say but i think 6m is a joke. I can see us taking a gamble on someone like James Beattie in January if we're struggling. Yeah Brunt's a lazy sod but got a class left foot.

Thanks for the great game today lads. How Arteta doesn't play for one of the big 4 is beyond me he's immense! Lescott is one of the best center backs i've ever seen at the Albion in my life. I was dissapointed with Yakubu a little bit as he in effective. I like the look of that young lad who had a goal dissalowed ( Rodwell ? ) I'm not sure why it got dissalowed tbh as i didn't see anything wrong with it. Howard + Lescott have gotta learn to comunicate as they got in a mess so many times today. IMO i thought we deserved a point. Shame about your second goal from a mix up between Carson & Meite.
