Thanks for those Links Louis :speak_cool:
Have you a favourite plan youself? I only ask as you seem to be in the know more than myself.
(Hate the thought of Kirkby)
-
I suspect Iggy is refering to my awful mangling of the English language.
But welcome to the joys of being a Bluenose. Life is so wonderful when you support Everton, you are never worried, never have the referee give wrong decisions against you. Always know what is going on behind the scenes. Never have a wet or cold day at the match.
Oh and I have been known to tell lies too.
Good to see you Det.
-
I suspected that actually.
But in all honesty I would like to consider what they have as options for myself. I expect most of us would.
Kirkby? Scotty Road? New Goodison?
I wish they would let us as fans look and see for ourselves... or don't we count any more?
-
Have there been any plans drawn up for Scotty Road or is it just a lot of words yet? I would be interested to see what the stadium would look like there. I know some folks have said it is not good enough (or words to that effect) but I would like to make my own mind up on that. Love to see what sort of scheme they have in mind over that.

I can't go on like this not knowing... chewed past my fingernails and elbows, starting on my shoulder blades now.
Money coming in, Stadium going out, Moyes just going?
These rumours are killing me. I don't think we are getting big money, I dont think Moyes is leaving, God alone knows what is going on with us becoming Kirkby FC or whatever.
I wish there were some facts floating around and not just rumours.
-
Any ideas as to what is likely to be said yet?

This quote is not from anyone famous. But it means a hell of a lot to me.
"Here were are son, your first pair of football boots and blue Everton socks and shirt to go with them. Get rid of that old red rag you wear at school"
My Dad to me about 45 years ago.
Also another one he said that made me cry happily.
"Here you are son, your first Everton season ticket" (1966 Lower Bullens Road Stand... I still have it in a drawer)

Just a stray thought to cross my mind.
How close to the proposed Kirkby site does the canal go?
I was just thinking how cool it would be to go to the match on a boat.
Silly thought I suppose, but you never know. <_<
-
I have heard he may be up for sale. Personally I have been impressed by him in Euro. He is a good target man, holds play up well and is a good team player. Do you think we should put in a cheeky bid? I think Spurs are looking at the idea too.
-
If I said I was gobsmacked it would be a severe understatement.
-
I could tell you something about him.
And that is, I have never heard of the guy.

First game away to Arsenal and we win 7 - 0.

Kirkby, once called Kirkby Newtown, is a largish town built on the outskirts of Liverpool in the post war years. It is to the east of the city somewhat.
It is unpopular with many for various reasons. Some I have listed below.
Kirkby is outside Liverpool, the ancestral home of Everton.
A lot of information coming out about the move was not given out before the vote to a new site was taken.
Some people prefer to regenerate Goodison.
Most people seem to want Everton to be the team to stay in Liverpool, after all we were here first.
Some people in Kirkby are unsure about such an ediface as a football stadium being built on their own backyard.
The new ground will be rented by Everton, not owned by them.
Many people do not like the designs of the new stadium.
Many suspect the stadium will plunge the club into deep debt.
Some people are unsure of the tie in with TESCO who are building a supermarket as part of the developement.
Some are afraid that the move will lose Everton it's identity and it's history.
There are probably a few more that slip my mind right now.

Great to see another new face, where about in wales are you from?
-
It's what he said.
Although I suppose he could be trying to hide his intentions as he never said we were not going for him I don't think.

:lmaosmiley:
I had to read that twice. I thought it was hysterical
Make like a squirrel ROFL
Play him over the park ROFL
Nice find Iggy

Moyes is in the studio for tonights football. He said he thought Mouthino was a good player but not what we needed right now.

I knew a girl who could cook marvelous turkey. She had wonderful breasts. Although she was flat chested too.
-
Hello Jamie, I am new here too
-
The secret is to just suck on them. Forget lighting up and they can't touch you for it.
(I hope... hate to be touched for having a fag)
-
I still cnt belive most people don't even want Manny back, he is a class player no doubt, probably better than all our midfielders.
As your Avatar clearly shows.
He is class, he is not consistant. He could be though.

If, and at the time of writing this, it looks like the Kirkby move is a deffo, IF Goodison gets re-developed then where will Everton play home games while the work is carried out?
I suspect thet a redevelopment will be an excuse to ground share anyway and they can then say you may as well stay there and sell Goodison anyway.
However latest news seems to suggest that Kirkby Town FC is about to be renamed Everton.
Oops am I being sarcastic there?
-
I remember looking at the Kings Dock stadium video and I thought it was magnificent. Why have they gone for a concrete shoe box for Kirkby? Surely the plans for the Kings Dock Stadium could just be moved to a new location?
-
What a great welcome.
I could almost hand the ciggies around after that.

Having looked at the links Louis put up in the other thread I have to say that if Goodison does not get redeveloped (and that is something I personally would dearly love to happen) then my next favourite option would be the Scotland Road Loop.
I am not a member of KEIOC group, but if anything I would support them in their endeavours. Personally I would sooner support KEAG (Keep Everton at Goodison)
But as I no longer live in the city due to my work I must bow to those of you who do.
