  1. I live on my own these days so I never bother with christmas decorations or stuff like that. No point it only makes me miserable.

I suspect I will visit my Dad for Christmas, But sleeping on his couch cripples me.

I think I am becoming a miserable old git cos I hate Christmas these days.

  2. Game can go one of two ways I feel.

They will give us a serious pasting, or we will scrape a low scoring draw. I simply can not see us winning I am afraid. Be nice though wouldn't it.

    Dream scenario.

Rooney gets sent off, Ronaldo gets sent off, Ossie scores a hat trick. :D

Oh well may as well get the dream over with while I have the chance.

Realistically, Rooney Ronaldo and Berbatov all score.

Who is ref by the way?

  3. Ignoring for a moment that this is about Owen, I have a slant on transfers that you may disagree with.

We need a bigger squad. I know we REALLY need players in certain positions, but we do need a bigger squad all round.

Owen is not as good as he was and there are many who would not have had him when he was at his best due to his past history. However if we could sign someone like him, would it smooth the way for other players to join us?

Some positive points about him (the negative ones have already been mentioned):

1, he is English, and with the proposed cap on players from other nations playing for a club from EUFA and FIFA being bandied about, it could be a useful signing.

2, although he is past his best, he can still get a few goals, which frankly we do need.

OK I stand here ready to be shot down in flames, but they are positives of a sort.

  4. Call me a cheap skate, but I tend to buy the replica shirts when they are on special offer, usually just after a new design has been anounced. It means I am a little out of touch fashion wise, but I can still show my loyalty with a club shirt, and a lot of folks have older shirts too.

Last time I bought a current shirt at face value it was one for my niece, she wanted a name on the back and it was Kanchelskis. You had to pay by the letter. We sold him the week after, and she then she confided in me she secretly supported ManUre cos she fancied one of their players.

    Talk about feeling peed off!!!

So now I have the self imposed rule of cheap buy and NO names. I don't feel that bad about it, and I don't feel totally ripped off.

  5. LCS might be bad but I feel sorry for my friend who is a Wasall fan, they where having there kits made by Nike, one year later they where made by Beaver..... who?

Good grief! Can you imagine admitting you pulled a beaver on over your head?

"I went to the game with a beaver on my chest" doesn't sound too clever either.

  6. How has the season been shaping up so far?

    Bloody awful in my opinion.

What are your expectations for this season? Have they changed from day one?

I expect a solid enough season overall, but I was feeling a little pessimistic at the start too. So no real change.

Who do you think is your most important player(s)?

    Tim Cahill is my choice.

    Your worst player(s)?

Hard as it is to say this, but I am very disappointed with Lescott.

Do you have a particular memory of any previous meeting between our clubs? Say something that happened to you that day or a decision you disagreed with?

One of my fondest memories was Sharpy's goal at Anfield. I fell down in the Anfield road end over that one when we all jumped up. Someone dropped a pie or something on me and it was a right mess. Decision I disagreed with was the way Gerrard berated the ref (he seems to do it a lot)

What sort of line-up will be put out against us?

I seriously am not sure given our recent performances. I think there will be some surprises brought about by Moyes. Saha will start I think, possibly dropping Osman to the bench. Maybe Lescott dropped or moved to centre and Yobo dropped. I don't know what else to say on this I am afraid as I simply have no idea.

Do you have any favourite/best chant(s) and perhaps any that require an explanation?

Naah, I like anything witty or whatever winds up the opposition

Where do you expect Everton and Liverpool to finish in the Premier League?

Liverpool I think will fade away a bit, maybe finish fourth behind Man City, Arsenal and Chel$ki. I really think Man Ure are going to come a cropper this season and be in 5th. (It is going to happen one day so why not this season)

Everton have started weakly, they will get stronger (I hope) But 6th may be hard to get to. 7th or 8th I think.

    Cup Winners:

    EPL - Chelsea

    UEFA Cup Standard Liege (unfortunately)

    Champions League Milan

FA Cup Lets go for Hull for a laugh.

Which Liverpool player will you fear the most?

None really. But Torres is the most dangerous to us I think.

Do you hate Liverpool fans, and why?

No, most of my family are reds, although as my sister lives on Arkles Lane, she is losing all compassion for them due to building in Stanley Park... if it ever gets done. I take the p*ss out of reds but nothing hateful.

    Care to predict the score?

This could be a blood bath either way. Liverpool have had trouble scoring I feel and Everton have had trouble defending. If one gets it right on the day, the other is going to suffer. Being optimistic I think Everton will get it right first and the score will be another 3 - 1.... but don't quote me it may be bad luck.

Have fun at the game, and COYB

  7. I don't like the way this smells really.

If a club knowingly breaks the rules, well they are a football club so punish them in a footballing way. Relegation, maybe as much as two divisions if the offense warrants it. But 30 million could destroy a club. Personally I would sooner beat them on the field of play and not wipe them out through the courts.

Drop them to Division one and then they will need to get back up by themselves. £30 million could drive them not only down as they will have to sell their best players, but it might also force them into liquidation.

I may be alone in this but I wouldn't like to see any team forced out of the game altogether.
