  1. Asking people to explain a point is fine. It's when people explain and you ask them to do it again - and again, and again, and again that it becomes tedious. At the end of the day it shows a lack of respect for people who hold different points of view to you, because you won't let it lie and feel the need to keep challenging. No I don't agree at all with your assessment that Gana is guilty of faults that aren't 'acceptable at this level', wherever you judge that to be. I find your analysis of him the worst kind of biased, myopic, unbalanced and unfair. We tore Burnley apart for 20 minutes yesterday and he was central to everything we did attacking wise, driving forward with the ball, playing with his head up, moving the ball quickly to keep us on the front foot. You can do all the 'oh that time he should have released the ball quicker to Digne' bollocks you like - I know what I watched, and I find your constant insinuation that you see and know more disrespectful. If you can't enjoy beating Man Utd at home 4-0 then I really do not know why you would bother going the match. And as for your last paragraph, I literally have no idea what you're talking about. What are you sickened by? Where is your evidence that any of these players don't care about conceding? When was the last time we conceded at home? Do you not think that might, just might, be the result of a team and a manager who are taking a huge amount of professional pride in performing to the best of their abilities for the shirt, the club and the fans? I mean honestly, please explain, I'm honestly fascinated by what part of conceding 5 goals in 10 games you find sickening.
  2. It's a public forum. You post the same tired lines over and over. When people challenge you, you demand they explain their point or provide evidence. When they do, you just rinse and repeat. Over and over and over. You have an agenda against Gana. You match him in games to find fault. You have an agenda against Silva. People have every right to challenge you on that. Three months ago you had a point, we were playing awful, the spine of the team looked awful. But what is it now, two defeats in 10? When was the last time we conceded at home? Please explain how Allardyce would have laid down better foundations than that. Oh and if paying your money and freezing your arse off without watching us play like Barcelona pisses you off so much, I'd consider another hobby. Sounds like you'll never be happy.
  3. You don't back the team. You criticise because you think you know best, including more than a professional manager. Wank over the results? Then what were you doing over Allardyce then, because it certainly wasn't over the football. You selectively pick individual incidents in games where certain players, in your opinion, could have done better to justify a completely over the top agenda you have against them. All this crap you spout about what Gana should have done - what level football did you play? How many times did you play the perfect game? What player ever has, for that matter? There are incidents in EVERY game where EVERY player could have played a better pass, made a cleverer run, read the game better. Everything you post is completely unbalanced - nit pick over small little moments, never any praise for the many good things players like Gana do, no sense of the bigger picture. You're a precious little flower aren't you. Get your hackles up over being called a clown? Aww diddums. Stop ripping into the team you claim to support when we're winning then, it makes you sound ridiculous. Oh, and as for pulling the only the best card out - are you really telling me you think Allardyce was the best this club could and should expect? Jog on pal.
  4. End the season with real optimism, home form has been superb, some of the football like Martinez's first season again. Thank you Jags, deserves to be remembered as a club legend for the service you've given us. Last season we were in disarray. Now we have a platform, we have promise. I expect a real tilt at top 6 next season.
  5. You're a clown mate Gana was excellent doing exactly the side of the game you criticise him for, driving forward with the ball and with his passing. And I'm not Keane biggest fan but he did nothing wrong tonight. Get behind your team ffs.
  6. Massive deflection but who cares! Great move
  7. Pete you're just wrong mate. Richarlison was garbage for a couple of months, Zouma looked a walking mistake at first, Gomes started doing a very good Schneiderlin impression after a promising start then picked up again. Your point about would I swap them from anyone last season is irrelevant because I'm not arguing they arent improvements, I'm making a very simple point that new players, new teams and new managers take time to get to their best. I've made that point in the past on another thread and you just carried on with the same 'we should be better than we are' line. Fine, think that. But the reasons you give dont stack up.
  8. You must be the only person on here who expects new signings to make an immediate impact, or not to see that changing half the starting XI in one go might require some kind of transition period. You've made the same tired point about new players over and over - half of them arrived unfit, all of them bar Digne have been up and down in form. Again, perfectly normal for new players in a new team under a new manager. As for your Allardyce argument - he'd have never played the football we played to beat Manure 4 nil, he'd have set up to get a draw against them, Arsenal and Chelsea. We were awful to watch under him, in my opinion he does not have it in him to play the football that would move any team closer to the top four. His Bolton glory days were on the back of paying off agents to get a better quality of player than he'd ever normally have been able to attract. Funny how he never did the same elsewhere. I look forward to you telling us how shit the oppo are as we make a serious tilt at the top 6 next season
  9. Name one manager who we could realistically expect to attract who would have had us challenging top 6 this season? Our squad is threadbare, we have nearly a full team out on loan because most of them aren't good enough, the players who have come in have ended up doing great but it is not enough to fix the shit show that was last season. Aside from that, you are an absolute hypocrite for blaming the manager for every poor result but refusing to give him any credit when we win.
  10. There isn'tt a chance in hell we'll get him
  11. Yes of course I did you absolute numpty any team that comes back from 2-0 down to win deserves loads of credit. Just as we deserved credit for riding our luck first half v Chelsea, putting a dreadful first half behind us and taking our chance to win the game. Just as we deserved credit for out playing Arsenal, a team we have an appalling record against. Just as we deserve credit for putting a poor Man Utd, another team we have an awful record against, to the sword. From your logic, teams don't win football matches, opponents lose them. Which is fine when you're desperately pushing an agenda you nailed your colours to 6 months ago and for bizarre psychological reasons known only to you now feel obliged to keep banging on about at every available opportunity. But to everyone else it's really fucking boring. We get it, you don't like Silva. But some of us actually want to enjoy watching the our club play some decent football and win a few games.
  12. I find it very hard to take you seriously as a supposed fan of this club when you cannot find it in you to give any credit you OUR manager and OUR players for a run that included drawing with the best Liverpool side in 30 years and beating Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd at home.
  13. But where were you praising the manager when we stuffed Utd 4 nil? You're on here every time we don't win criticising Silva, never when we win. Same with Gana, you choose to completely ignore all his strengths to bang the same tired point that he doesn't fit your idea of what a midfielder should do.
  14. I'd be very surprised if we finished 7th now, away form has continued to be frustrating but really it was our awful form November to February that has cost us. Over the season Wolves have been a better team anyway. Not overly bothered myself, I love European football but we went through a bit of a crisis last season and this one was always about stabilising and laying foundations for the future. I think our home form the last two months shows there is real promise and plenty of reason to be optimistic for next year. Big summer ahead, even bigger season to follow. I expect Man Utd to fall apart whoever they sign and Solksjaer to be sacked by Christmas, top 6 is there for the taking!
  15. There's a surprise, no one in here saying Silva's got the system all wrong, should be playing players out on loan and needs sacking before he ruins our football club!!
  16. Sadly only got to half watch the second half at a family BBQ but what a fucking result!! Cannot wait for next season now.
  17. I don't think so. If Wolves win it then there's no extra spot. If Man City win it goes down to 7th.
  18. Gomes was the best player on the park today. Complete changed my mind about him in recent weeks, if Sigurdsson is worth £45m I have no idea what we might have to pay for him.
  19. So what about all the chances Bernard, Sigurdsson and Richarlison missed? We play four attacking players, they should all be contributing goals, they all deserve to be criticised for being wasteful today.
  20. Brilliant win. Performance absolutely deserved it, could have been a lot more comfortable as the only downside was the finishing, but shows the value of solid defence.
  21. This will be a killer if we don't win. Should have 5.
  22. Really enjoying the performance but we're nowhere near clinical enough in the final third. All four of the forwards guilty.
  23. And v Chelsea we were crap in the first half then, if rumours are true, Silva gave them the hairdryer and we won.
