  1. I thought the referee was okay today not especially bad. The game was amazing though and i am glad I woke up at 4 am.

But i am sure swansea fans have different views so need to argue with him. Thank you for coming Ainsley, I thought swansea really had their chances but they just couldn't take them to gain momentum, I am rooting for Swansea this season apart from when they play us though. I really like Graham , Ki, and Vorm top players though Ki didnt do well today. My korean friend tells me he is really impressive for the national team and I was hoping we might get him.

  2.

You could watch it by going through the Yellow Door.

Yes the Yellow door, it is a lemon entry my dear Watson.

(I saw your quote and assumed you would be a fan.....major%20overreaction%20alert.gif

    (I'll get me coat leggit.gif )

    Hahaha very nice :D

I dont know why I like that quote so much, I am always trying to find ways to use it but it is just too difficult...

Anyways, i am happy both heitinga and coleman are starting, finally moyes is showing some good sense in giving heitinga a chance and I think coleman can do a great job out right... Wwe finall have options!

  3. Round has said they still hoping to add more players as a bit thin but if don't they happy with squad they good. I read that as will keep saying looking then after window closes will say we tried but couldn't get any more

I only understood that round said that we will be getting more players... We better get more players!! there is still more than 7-10 million left depending on who's price for Rodwell plus the amount we got for Yobo and those other young players.

  4. I am just happy that we have not turned out like portsmouth or rangers and for that I thank Bill and I cannot hate him.

However, I really do wish he would make it easier to sell the club. Someone that seems to work for Everton (not confirmed but has shown evidence) was telling me that his valuation of Everton is making investors decide not to invest in Everton

All I want for Everton is for someone that will be able to provide Moyes with a 10-20 million pound transfer budget season after season with also the capabilities of remodeling Goodison so there is a larger capacity and less pillars.

  5. Hello once again from avillafan.com, and just as last year i am coming to you cap in hand for your help in our regular feature.

If anyone would take the time to answer the questions below for our main page and Members to view and discuss i would be very grateful! toffeetalk.com will get full credit and links to your site will be posted on our site! thanks for your help!

    1. Congratulations on your opening day win against Manchester United, But Everton have become well known as slow starters but coming on strong in the second half of the season. Why do you think that is and can you be more consitant this season?

I think the players we have now are more confident than ever before. Also, maybe it is due to the fact that we just signed a, as far as I know, talented player, additionally i read that Moyes had a different preseason plan (as steve said)

    2. David Moyes has continued to do a fantastic Job with very limited finances avaliable, he has also managed to hold on to his big name players for the most part, what do you think his secret is?

He has a great eye for players and I think his tough mentality allows him to have the players do what he wants but also I believe that this club with it's fans and history just appeal to player. Kind of like Aston Villa.

    3. Everton claimed the bragging rights after finishing above Liverpool last season, and i can see you doing it again this season but more convincingly, do you feel the balance of power could be shifting in Liverpool?

I really hope so! It felt great finishing above them but you would think with all the money they have they would do better than us, not the case though obviously.

    4. How do you feel about Aston Villa as a Club and our Fans?

I like Aston Villa and i used to love watching the games while O'Neil was around, always entertaining and it was great to watch. I only know one fan and he is 13 so I havent got a chance to meet any old fans so I can't say much about them.

    5. Aston Villa lost in a close game with West Ham on the opening day of the season but many Villa Fans are were happy to see an improvement from the way we were playing last season, and under Paul Lambert we are once again united in support of our Manager. How do you think Villa will do this term and over the next few seasons?

I think they will be in the top half, I really like Lambert and I think he will do well. Hopefully not above Everton though.

    6. Charles N'Zogbia and Stephen Ireland are two very talented Footballers without a doubt, but have constantly underperformed during their time with Villa, what are your thoughts on these Players?

I wasn't that impressed with N'Zogbia when we were linked to him so I was glad he did not come to Everton. I liked Ireland a lot during his mancity days and I wasnt to happy seeing how they treated him. i thought he would be a great signing for villa and hopefully he will come good.

    7. Who are your picks for the top four and bottom three this season and why?

Top 4 manc manu everton arsenal

I think Chelsea will collapse again and will not be able to figure it out with their new players and I always but Everton in the top four.

bottom 3: QPR, West Ham, and west brom

    8. Who are you looking forward to play the most and why?

I always love playing man city because we always do well against them. Hopefully the derbys this year we would have a bad ref and maybe even show up!

    9. Which player do you think will cause Villa the most trouble during the match? and which Villa Players are you concerned about?

I like the look of Bannan and Bent seems to be a dangerous player always. I don't know if they will be playing though, i havent followed villa recently

    10. Finally, Match predictions!

    1-2 Everton

The best response will be published on our main site page.

Thanks in advance and i wish you all the best for the coming season!! with the exception of two games of course!

  6. It reminded me of Shevchenko when he signed for the plastics from Milan when you said that and simply was a shadow of himself. Kaka is a decent player, simply inappropriate for the Turkish League. Surprised some EPL side hasn't brought him in by now.

He was the best player in the world before his injury and still is a great player not just "decent"

I think we will win 2-0 against manu

  7. Personally I like to get involved in banter with reds in america because they don't actually know anything haha.

But in England I have also seen or been involved with banter with other reds once in London and at least twice in Liverpool (i don't visit much) and we have been fine. I prefer to have the results show what we are made of and I don't think football should be the cause of any hatred.

The man that introduced me to Everton said he would always go to Everton games one weekend and Liverpool games the next just to watch football, but he would always root for the team against Liverpool.

  8. Both of those players had actually done something for the club, Rodwell was yet to do anything of any note.

just the fact since he has been with the academy since what? when he was 6 makes it worse for me.

I like to evertonians playing in royal blue and especially those that came from the academy

  9. How have we sold him easily? we've got a lot of money for him, which can easily help us bring in 1-2 quality players. And Haf, what "young talent" have we seen leave? we've let a few kids from the academy go and they've gone to Brentford, Tranmere and Crystal palace? they were hardly some super gems of players who the worlds elite were looking at. I said before, i think Rodwell has hit a brick wall in his development, and that can happen to players, so i'm over the moon we've got a decent (not great) some of money for him. all opinions of course..

Before his injury Rodwell was reallly showing good form and along with his england display you could tell he was going somewhere. I would rather have a young, english evertonian any day that will come good rather than some foreign money seeking player that will leave the first chance he gets.

  10. I hate City because they were a shit club and now suddenly think that they are God's gift to football. Chelsea were never title contenders but at least they were established in the Premier League, Manchester City were known as being just too good for the lower leagues but being well away from the standard of the Premiership, they were a yo-yo team at best similar to the old West Brom and the current West Ham and it's a joke that anyone considers them a top team in terms of history, they're going to be a super club for 2-3 years and then drop like a stone.

I don't mind teams having take-overs that deserve it, top flight teams that have earned the right to be in Europe and have established themselves as top clubs over a long period of time (Arsenal/Tottenham/Everton/)

City just got lucky that some buffoon wearing a dishcloth on his head took a fancy to them but somehow believe they are a class above everyone else, I despise their club and I despise their fans (apart from the missus) and I can't wait until their deck of cards fall down on their heads and they end up in administration and back to the third tier of football where they belong.

In a way its already happening, Mancini hasn't been given the green light to go on a spending spree this summer and is getting frustrated, once he goes a few players will and without strong backing they wont be able to challenge for the championship, if they can't challenge for the championship their star players will leave and the cycle will be back to the beginning. This Sheikh won't be around forever to hold City's hand through European football and when he buggers off they are in bigger shit than the likes of Glasgow Rangers and Portsmouth.

Like I said, tomorrow I fly a flag high for Chelsea, never will I agree with what City have done to football and never will I support them.

Very well said, they have not done anything to deserve what they are getting. Completely agree with.
