  1. Lol well if you understand football I can only presume that you have not watched Everton this season because Distin has been superb for us since he joined, I would even go as far as to say he has been an improvement on Lescott defensively

Also apart from a couple of dodgy performances early on Baines is now getting back to his best both defensively and attacking( Saha & Felli have both scored from Baines crosses in recent weeks

So that can only mean you are either clueless about football or you havent actually seen Everton play this season to want to play other players out of position ahead of Baines likewise your critisism of Distin

I have seen every one of our games this season. And i have played a lot of football. Baines is wasting these corners and set pieces. 2 good balls out of 10 isn't up to premiership level.

I know these guys are English and all. But we have to look outside the box. When Nuno was here he didn't get any time at all when recovered from injuries. And Neill is a lot higher quality than Baines. We need him on the park. Can't wait to see it.

  2. In terms of importance to the team and nowt to do with potential or current form, (injured in brackets):

    1. (Arteta)

    2. Pienaar

    3. (Jags)

    4. Louis/Yak (couldnt split them)

    5. Cahill

    6. Howard

    7. Rodwell

    8. Baines

    9. Distin/Yobo (couldnt split)

    10. Bily (reckon in 12 months he'll be top5)

    11. Heitinga/Fellaini/Jo/Gosling/Osman/Hibbert/Vaughan (undecided on all of them)

    12. Vik

    etc etc

    Thats a good list.

  3. When Discussing Neill vs Baines, Neill is much better defensively. But lacks that attackive instinct Baines had that was so good towards the end of last year for us. Yes they don't play the same positions so i admit the thread may be a little pointless. But we can compare them none the less.

  4. Should we be suprised? The Cahill hatred rages on? MOTM was out of Hetinga 1st and Cahill 2nd (he worked tirelessy). The fact that hes not even being discussed really shows what i have been discussing. Thought Hetingas long balls were outstanding today. He seems a lot more solid when not on the flanks, so being in the middle is a good thing.

  5. i think thats a bit harsh on him that milky his positional sense in the area is second to none and he isnt a defensive player but i think hes doin a fair decent job in a new role...

Not just a bit harsh. Its a loony statement. Seems to be divided with England vs Australia here. If your English your a great player. If your Australian your not? Its what i have seen with Jagielka and Baines, who play poorly and then get great wraps on here.

  6. Baines was quality last season. But he seems to have dropped off a lot this season. Defensively obviously Neill is a lot better. Baines best attacking attributes which are supporting runs and crosses which were fantastic last year have gone bad. And most of his crosses are terrible now.

So Baines vs Neill. Is it time to play Neill yet?

    Or maybe for Heitinga?

  7. Okay so lets rank our best players. I think this is a good thing to do.

Lets avoid ranking the long term injured. Arteta and Yakubu.

    I have.

    1. Pienaar

    2. Cahill

    3. Saha

    4. Howard

    5. Jagielka (Gets turned easy when defending on his left hand side)

    6.Yobo

    7. Distin

    8. Osman

    9. Fellaini (Heavy first touch)

    10. Baines (His crossing has been terrible. Every corner same thing)

    11. Heitinga (Very Ordinary Start to the season)

All in all we have a very solid squad and probably the best we have had in many years.

  8. Question is, is Cahill at his best, our best player? Seem to get a bit confused here. Because when hes in form he gets talked down. And when hes doign okay its like he stinks?

Either way we need him further up the field. And possibly as a striker. Hes quality. Just like Yakubu.

  9. Hey everyone our squad looks very strong. I just want to focus on Cahill for a minute.

For me Cahill has been outstanding once again for us this season. Hes playing a bit more defensive and hes doing very well. Winning a lot of ball and not giving up any possession. Hes a quality footballer now and his passing game has really developed. His radar has been a bit off in front of goal but overall he has done very well and is very solid.

I think hes still in our top 3 players.

  10. I think SAF believes Tim is the quick fix. I think he will do well, especially with the type of link up players that will feed him the ball. He should score a lot of goals with his head.

Good luck Tim. Thanks for all our times at Everton. I think you deserve to play for trophys.

    Always welcome at Everton!

  11. Adebayor has 12 goals and 8 assists in all competitions in only 28 games played, and he's Arsenal's second-leading scorer this year after Van Persie. If that's a bad season, we could do with a few more of Everton's players having bad seasons. B)

He must have scored 12 against Stoke. I seriously have no memory of Adebayor playing well this year.

Drogba? how many goals? Eduardo the same lol.
