  1. I think you're one man short ... And Defour as a winger ... bad idea ... very bad idea!
  2. Jagielka! No question about it! 2. Fellaini 3. Neville 4. Cahill 5. Baines 6. Pienaar 7. Jo 8. Lescott I haven't seen that many Everton matches, mostly the highlights but these are the players that really stood out for me and the fact that I put Fellaini second is not only because I'm Belgian, I feel he did really good this year and I really hope he can improve, just get that little bit quicker.
  3. I see there're a few Belgians mentioned here ... But I feel there're only 2 belgians who could be interesting for Everton and that's Dembele and Vertonghen. Hazard isn't ready yet to play in the PL and I recon that at the end of next year he'll head for Madrid(since Zidane is such an admiror). The only problem is the price tags on both of them ... Vertonghen will easily cost you 10 million euros and you'll even have to dubble the fee if you want Dembele. So both of them is probably out of the question (I really don't think Moyes will have 30-35 at his disposal and even so he won't spend it on just 2 players) Defour might be an option as well but I think Vertonghen would be much more usefull for Everton. There's not much difference in quality between the two but Vertonghen's style of play will suit better at Everton. I'd say Defour is probably more of a player for Villa. Anyway, I hope Everton succeed in attracting a few new players. My priorities would be a striker, a defensive midfielder and a winger. Also a central defender a right fullback and a goalkeeper might come in handy. But I think that would be asking just a little too much. ------------------Howard/GK-------------------- RFB/Neville----Jagielka--Lescott/CD---Baines -------------Vertonghen?----Arteta------------ Pienaar---------Fellaini/Cahill--------Dembele? ------------------Striker/Cahill------------------ That's not a bad team at all!
  4. Hasn't got what it takes ... uses his physical presence to stand out in Belgium but once he's up against an decent striker, he's absolutely nowhere! Everytime Anderlecht played in the CL he made an awfull performance! Believe me! This is not the defender you're looking for, not by a long shot! BTW: Villa scouted him, when Anderlecht played Standard for the title(it doesn't get any better in Belgium than this for the moment! Next year it'll be different) and as always when the level of football goes up ... Roland's level goes down ... and what do you know ... Villa suddenly weren't interested anymore! NEXT!
  5. I really think Vertonghen would be a great buy for Everton, he's got size, he's got an amazing workrate, stamina, good long ball, strong tackle, ... And it just might be the ideal time to buy him ... Van Basten let him out in the cold last few games so I don't think they'll ask more than 10 million ... although the new trainer might think differently. Anyway Vertonghen-Arteta-Fellaini/Cahill would be a very strong central midfield, both in offense and defence!
  6. There wasn't really one who stood out ... they were all bad! Fellaini was one of the few who could keep the ball in possesion and do something with it, but he couldn't give Everton that something extra ... Everton was dominated in midfield ... Neville and Fellaini just couldn't cope with Chelsea's 3 man midfield. Pienaar look lively as always but lost a lot of balls, as almost everyone else ... I think I'll go for the man who played an outstanding season overall ... Neville.
  7. Actually I feel the second goal was his fault ... Neville was already in position but Castillo still went after the ball which resulted in the enorm space Ireland got.
  8. I gave my vote to Baines ... don't really know why, probably because noone really stood out for me, not even Pienaar.
  9. Fellaini, Osman or Jo ... I didn't see the first half but I heard Osman and Fellaini put in a good performance. I'll go for Fellaini I think ...
  10. And he changed it again ... No wonder he's being called the Perminator.
  11. Bad idea! At his best he's really a good player. He's got some great rushes in him, like he did against Everton (2-1 penalty goal). But he's not consistent enough to play in the PL. At the moment he's playing like crap. Standard got hit out of the UEFA btw because Defour was kicked off the pitch and Mbokani and Jova are nowhere near their best form. Vertonghen would be a good buy (I'd say 10 million) but Jovanovic ... I have my doubts about him. Too good for the Belgian league but I don't know if he's good enough for the PL.
  12. Well ... he changed it again ... we're back to the afro ... He was spotted in Charleroi sunday evening with his 'normal' haircut.
  13. I voted Pienaar but noone deserves to be MOTM.
  14. I'm not a fan! I kinda liked the afro ...
  15. I only joined this forum after Everton-Man Utd so no I didn't say that. But I do think Fellaini will be a magnificent player for Everton and a terror for every opponent.
  16. Witsel plays more or less at the same position as Fellaini and Cahill. He's not a defensive midfielder but not an attacking one either, he's a box to box player and Everton has got enough of those I think. A type Defour on the other hand ...
  17. Defour would be an amazing buy for Everton! He's a bit of an arrogant jerk but that ain't always a bad quality. I would love to see a midfield Defour-Arteta-Fellaini/Cahil. The guy's got amazing defensive qualities(he's fucking everywhere), he's also got a pretty good touch, he can crack open a defense with one pass(you guys should have noticed that ), ... he really is a good player and I think he's ready for the PL. His only flaw in my eyes is his size, he doesn't win enough headers but I think Fellaini or Cahill can balance that out. Witsel isn't a player for Everton ... make no mistake ... he is an enormous talent! One of the best allround midfielders in my eyes. The kid's got everything but there's no place for him at Everton.
  18. Oh just admit that you don't like Fellaini and that you never will no matter what he does ... And there's a big diference between calling someone a panic buy and criticising someone's last few games. Last few weeks he hadn't been playing well, but that was no reason for calling him a horrible player, a miss buy, ... See the difference? I'm not happy about his last performances, but you use those last performances to say he's a bad player (which is being too harsh on him)... And he's not fast in the first few meters, which is why he has trouble fending off 'small' players and so they skip past him quite often but in a sprint over 50-60 meters (which is something completely different than a sprint over 20 meters! if you can't see that than I can't help you) you won't get rid of him that easily ... He will never beat Lennon or Young but he isn't as 'slow' as you think either!
  19. No I don't think I did ... he wasn't playing all that well the last few games(due to his injury maybe) and all of a sudden he was a panic buy, he was shite ... that's what I meant by being too harsh on him. And pace and accelaration ... well just by watching ... how can you tell that Young and Ag.... have pace? You only need to see them run once ... same with Fellaini. In a sprint over 10-20 meters he's not that fast at all, but a sprint over 50-60 meters is a whole other matter. I'm not saying he's fast ... he hasn't got that extra gear but he isn't slow either.
  20. I think some guys here are just too harsh on Fellaini, he wasn't playing good at all last few games, but if a guy like him has back problems it severly hampers him in everything he does, jump, sprint, etc. And yes he isn't the fastest one on the pitch although I think many of you would be suprised to know just how fast Fellaini really is. He is slow out of the blocks but once he's in top gear he's really not that slow. His main problem is his acceleration, but for a guy of 6'4 it's really not that easy. If you guys don't want him I think that there are plenty of teams in the PL who would appreciate him and certainly could use him. You are focussing way too much on his flaws ... I'm certainly not talking about everyone here it's just shocking how Fellaini's being targetted here sometimes. I voted Fellaini BTW...
  21. I thought it was a rather mediocre game of Everton noone really stood out for me! But if I had o give it I'd probably give it to Cahill. What Pienaar did today was unexcusable! When you're up 1-0 in extra time you can't give the ball away so easily! Even a boy of 10 years old knows that! And if you vote for Fellaini as Man of the Match, I can only guess it's because he didn't receive a yellow card!

I don't really think Fellaini was missed today ... Everton could have used his aerial presence and at times Everton lacked a bit composure but overall Everton did very well ... I really wonder if Fellaini would have made a difference today ...
  23. I voted Cahill. Would've given it to Pienaar were it not for Cahill's goal ...
