Well, that's probably you rough Englishmen then. He could have broken Mikel's leg if his studs were in the pitch.

He went flying in both feet of the ground, studs showing. Don't think he actually hit Mikel that hard, but you just shouldn't go in like that.

Think Coleman's second yellow could have been a straight red as well to be honest. You just don't go in for a ball that way.

I'd have liked to see Coleman at right back now Nev's unavailable. That's too bad. I think it's something we should try out. Heitinga could drop to form a three man defence and Baines and Coleman could push forward.
  5. We won't get him. He is probably going to win the Ligue 1 with Lille so he'll play Champions League with them next season. So I can't see him leaving for a team that doesn't even play Europa League. He would be a great addition though. He plays on the right wing for Lille and has got 14 goals and 10 assists in 2584 minutes in the Ligue 1. He's got pace, he's got power, he's got skill. He'd be great, too bad he won't be playing for us next season.

Why didn't Arteta just have a go there? BTW did I miss something concerning Beckford?

    Get Beckford on for Hibbert.

Jags and especially Distin have been having lots of trouble with Odemwingie. Do think Anichebe is having another good game.

    1-0 down, goal Mulumbu.
  10. It's not that they in particular looked bad or something. I only saw that one game against Holland and I don't think any of those 22 players were ready to shine in the Premier League. Also, I read that article where the Danish coach said that the English youngsters now have good technical abilities, but if I compare them (on the base of that one game of course) to the Dutch, they really didn't look that good at all. I did like Rekik and Kongolo by the way. Two Dutch central defenders. Play for Feyenoord.
  11. I'd be happy to have him here. Certainly if we'd get an option to buy. He's strong, pacey. Actually looks like quite a complete striker too me.
  12. I must say I wouldn't expect Hope or Lundstram in the first team any time soon.
  13. England 1-0 down to the Dutch at half time. Could have been more as well.
  14. Witsel's goal is about 1:15 in: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TLpn2Txunk
  15. Vossen sure has been looking great again. So have two other Belgian players we've been linked with in the past: Kevin De Bruyne and Axel Witsel (who scored a screamer against Club Brugge yesterday, but it seems like that goal hasn't yet been uploaded to youtube).
  16. Gave it to Vic, he deserves a break. Osman, Jags and Nev were good as well.

Silva has been awesome. We don't have that kind of quality players.

Actually I thought he did that really well in the first half hour against Wigan (that's the only part I saw). Or at least, he did it better than Beckford. Of course, all your other points are valid.
  19. I'd be surprised if we would actually get an offer for Vic, let alone a £4 million one.
  20. I don't know about this one. A few years back he actually failed at a mid-table side in the Belgian league, but I guess he has come good.
  21. Went with Jags. Had a great game. As did Distin and Howard.

We should be taking more initiative. Coleman is up against O'Shea. I think Seamus could have him but he hasn't really tried to beat him. Bily has been particularly wasteful with the ball. Get Hibbert off, move Neville to right back, put Osman in his position and get Cahill on.
  23. According to this Dutch website (http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?uid=143613) Everton, Newcastle and some Spanish and Italian teams are after him. They give The Observer as a source, but I can't seem to find the original article. I think he'd be a really good addition to our squad. His stats this season are amazing as well: http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/balazs-dzsudzsak/leistungsdaten/spieler_35004.html 25 goals and 23 assists. I don't think he's as good as Luis Suarez (the former Ajax player, now with Liverpool) but he's not far off. Unfortunately I don't think we have the money to tempt PSV into selling him.
  24. To be honest I can't see either of those teams making an offer for him as he has been injured quiet a lot this season (again). By the way, Gerrard and Defour are totally different players. On a sidenote, Axel Witsel has been brilliant this season. He's been Standard's standout player this season and has got 13 goals and 6 assists in all competitions so far. I think he could be the perfect Tim Cahill replacement.
