I hope and expect he'll get a cheer, but also that he is anonymous as he was for us in the games before he left.

I too have a feeling of impending doom about the match today. Be weird to see Arteta play against us, I wonder what reception he'll get from the away fans.

This from the Guardian's chalkboards article this morning:
"Everton's problems up front are longstanding, but Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to Stoke must be a new low – 67% possession, yet no shots on targets in the match, for the first time since 2008-09.
In Mikel Arteta's absence Everton lack creativity from midfield. Further forward, this surely was not the game for the 19-year-old striker Apostolos Vellios, who was fielded up front against the physical Stoke back line – he did not record a shot, nor win an aerial battle, and completed only eight passes in open play."
Pretty much just backs up what everyone else has being waying.

i reckon we'll play one up front against this lot

unbelievable, ref
-
referee taking the biscuit by ignoring that blatant foul on ossie. incredible.
-
surely that was a corner?
-
Not happy with this ref at all.
Is the way forward to cross in their box given their height? Maybe keep it on the floor and shoot from the edge instead.
it'is a fair point against this team of monsters. but it looks likes like moyes is backing the aerial 'threat' of cahill and vellios. at least we're getting the crosses in.

lovely skills by felli

pish. that's a soft soft goal to concede.

surely we already have bily who would be best employed behind the striker/advanced midfielder. so if we go for him, what does that mean for bily? stuck on the wing, the bench or off somewhere else?
if he's on 60k a week there as the article suggests, i'm sure he'd want not much less here as he's on a free.
i can't see moyes going for any more than a loan deal. just doesn't add up for me. let rovers have him.

holy shit, terrible news

for me i was 9 and it was 1986. so suppose i was a glory hunter originally. i liked the name, and the kit, and gary lineker was my favorite player. me and my mate developed an everton crush. the moment i knew was forever was that 1989 cup final.

-
get in jags. we deserve that. they didn't let their heads go down and kept playing posotive football. keep it up.
-

Arteta. Tearing Everton apart since 1 Sept 2011...
Also wondering if Felli's trim on his afro has also shorn of him of some of his magic powers, like that Samson fellow.
