  1. Think Dunc had spoke to a friend or someone connected to the club, that's how it all came about.

Not sure our squad really is too small TBH, especially compared to recent years. Maybe lacking quality in defence (only got 4 decent players-Hibbert, Joey, Valente & Lescott...i hope ) but that's it.

    I reckon we'll make a move for a right back as;

    1) We haven't much cover there in case Hibbert is injured/suspnded

    2) If he's out, that means Joey probably covers (unless he goes for Neville) and that means we bring in one of the oldies at centre back-and that scares the sh1t out of me!

    3) Hibbert is out!

  2. Been reading a quality paper (Sunday Star  ) which has an article saying how Dunc is missing playing for us and would love to be back. It even says he'd play for free!

Maybe it's me getting over-sentimental but does anyone agree that we've got to get him a job at the club?!

I loved him because he loved us so much.

He gave everything and I was gutted when some people developed views that he was just a sponge, money-grabber etc. I bet he was like a bear with a sore head whenever he was out injured!

It would be inhumane of the club to ignore him.

I'd like to see him get some qualifications and become a coach cos his presence is something we'll badly miss. Just hope he doesn't get injured!

  3. Since turd left i've had two ways of thinking:

    1) Hope he does well for England (liability more like)! but on the other hand;

    2) Hope he breaks a leg (or both) playing for Manure.

I now hope he breaks both legs whoever he plays for!

Ps, I haven't seen anyone mention about his parents house getting robbed and all his trophies getting knicked. CLASS. Lets just enjoy that for now.

Hold on, has he got even got any trophies? Probably only from his time at EFC!

  4. Not bad and not great but i've no worries at all.

Thought Lescott did ok after a shaky start,

thought AJ put himself about ok and will come good. Shouldv'e scored a couple.

Actually thought Davies did well and looked interested.

Thought the defence looked confident knowing Howard was in goal which counts for a lot.

Thought Osman did well too & Arteta.

Basically I thought we played with 50-75% effort so it's hard to make a judgement.

  5. Naysmith-3, Valente-19??? Hmmm!

Personally i'd have to relegate Simon Davies to a squad number, eg 37!

Also, surely Stubbsy will play more than Weir so why have Weir 5 and Stubssy 15?

Oh well, only numbers i guess and we don't know the background. Just appears a bit odd tho.

The biggest mistake however is not giving me that number 9 shirt :P

  6. Love the guy! Wouldn't swap him for the world.

The thing about subbing and doing it at the right time is tricky-sometimes there's a few factors to think about before just getting on with it i.e. are there other plyrs carrying slight injuries, anyone on a yellow and starting to lose the plot, anyone getting tired etc etc.

I even thing he's done well in the transfer mkt and not just this yr. I only see Kroldrup as a mistake which he was big enuf to admit and make sure we get a fair bit of £ back.

For the money paid, I still reckon Jimmy Mac and VDM will prove good buys.

  7. Disown him,

    cut off all ties,

deny all knowledge of his existence

Write grafitti all over town slurring his once good name

Tell your family he's gone to live far away (but secretly lock him in your loft/shed-either is acceptable)

And only accept his apologies when he sits down to watch the derby and cheers the right f**kin team! :)

That's just what i'd do anyway, hope this has helped!

  8. Best wishes to him in an England shirt but i hope he wins nothing with manure even if it affects us by not getting bonus payments (not sure if that's still running on his contract).

I'm chuffed with the money we've got for him although reckon we couldv'e squeezed another £2mill. Look what it's paid for:

    AJ

    Lescott

    BT

    Arteta

    Neville

    VDM (give him time PLS)!...

I make that about £26mill so let's throw cahill in to the equation even though we already had him and there's £28mill-cheers wayne!

My only regret about the rooney deal was the anamosity which surrounded it and I just wish they'd somehow included a clause that he would return say when he's 30 cos it feels like we never got enough time from him.

  9. Why why why did king's dock have to fail-was gutted. Is there defo no way of looking at that option again?

My main worry isn't the location cos being a 'Wirral-alien' i have to drive anyway (tho i do feel for those who are used to walking), i'm just worried what it'll be called-please none of this 'City of lpool & home of the beatles & John Lennon stadium/arena/ampitheatre' bollox. The catchiest possible name is simple-Goodison. Simple as.

  10. I reckon he'll still be with us this season. He can always be shipped out in Jan so I can see DM giving him until then and I still have faith that it'll work out.

    I love being right :P !

Time to give him chance now, no more 'F*ck off', 'waste of space' bollox. He's had a rough time and fair doos, he's gonna do his best to sort himself out and if he does it'll be worth the wait imo.

Or have i just set myself up to get pasted by you lot one day when he goes awol, tells the fans to p1ss off and leaves on a free?!
