  1. Pienaar is good, he's even better with Baines behind him.

Baines must be the best attacking left back in the country, penalties and free kicks are a major bonus.

£20 million should be a fair starting price.

I'd sell Rodwell for £15million and keep Baines.

Who would pay $15m for Rodwell?

  2. Although Owen wouldn't surprise me, I don't think we'll go for him - I genuinely think we'll sign Pienaar, Naismith and Dempsey with Drenthe/Straq not being signed and players like Mucha, McFadden, Yobo leaving and I actually can see Big Vic fetching us a few million - don't think baines, felli or johnny will go unless huge, huge bids come in. I also think we'll see Donovan on a perm deal come Christmas with his contract up at Galaxy/MLS in Nov.

I thought Donovan has another year left on his contract after this year?

  3. Jarvis spotted parked outside the club, saw a picture of it on not sure how to upload pics on here but looks like theres a deal on the cards

I actually like Jarvis. Definitely better to be linked with him than Doyle, but if these rumors are true, we better be paying a low price, and again, this shouldn't affect whether we can buy Peanuts back.

  4. In that case Anichebe will be second choice. If he falls further down the pecking order he will cry for a move.

I kind of miss Jermaine Beckford right now! he would be great off the bench, and would be an interesting pair WITH Jelly in a 4-4-2.

  5. Adam Forshaw last season, Baxter 2010-11 - I think (pretty shaw!)

Does anybody here rate Forshaw? He was reserve player of the year this year, so he's got to be decent, and I know his contract is up because he just signed a one-year deal before last season, so I wonder if he will be let go or if we think he's good enough to hand him another contract.

  6. I'm more talking about a backup/sub rather than the "2nd striker" position if you guys are commenting on what I said. We have plenty of people who can play attacking mid/2nd striker... Ossie, Fellaini, Barkley, Baxter (I believe that's his favorite position), Cahill (even though he's not that great anymore.), Gueye, etc... I'm referring to someone who can come off the bench and play up top, or play if Jelly gets hurt.

  7. Maybe you missed this when I edited my post. Top 7 league only, they would be joint bottom with Newcastle. Top 7 excluding Newcastle they would be bottom. They're not good enough to beat the big boys, only high in the league because they pick up points from the poorer sides.

It's been his most productive goal and assists wise.

How come Spurs can manage to beat the Wigan's of this world and then get their asses handed to them by the Man U's and Chelsea's while we seem to love to upset the big boys but then manage draws against Aston VIlla and Wigan and friends.... So Frustrating.

  8. theres a reason - hes shit and old.

Hahaha! Very true, however on that topic, who should be our second striker? I like Vellios but all he has is potential at this point (Great size and pace combo though). Vic's goal scoring this year, but I still think he's shit and won't be a Premier League player after he leaves us, and he is always injured, and then Straq may very well not be here next year.... So who is our 2nd striker? If Straq leaves, we should try to get SOMEBODY with experience in on a free or next to nothing, because Vic will probably get injured at some point, and I don't know if either Baxter or Vellios are ready to play regularly in the Premiership... I don't even want to discuss the effects of a Jelavic injury... Let's not even go there.

  9. Oh don't worry about it mate, I didn't take it as an insult smile.png

Also whats the deal with Wallace? Everyone seems to rim him like he's going to be something special but have we actually seen him in first team action yet? I don't think I've ever seen him play.

Every fan of the teams he's been loaned to have seemed to rate him highly and think he's AT Least a Championship player... Plus, I know this is a dumb way to grade people, he's one of our better youngsters on FIFA.

  10. I'm not saying it's the wrong decison I'm just saying that I'm very surprised having both watched and played with him.

My statement wasn't directed at you, mate! I hope I didn't offend! ;-)

If Baxter is to be offered a two year contract, that shows that he is believed to still have potential. I hope he is a late bloomer. I doubt McAleny or Forshaw will make it here, however I wouldn't mind handing Wallace another one-year contract.

  11. As every one has said, good worker but sadly lacks ability. He's a Moyes player but not an Everton player(hope that makes sense). Think Wigan could do with him though or Norwich if they lose Holt.

This. I thank Denis for his effort 100%. He gave us everything always, and that's the type of mentality that every Everton player needs to have (A lot of them do). But he's just not good enough, and I'd REALLY like to see Vellios more next season. I think he has real potential. I also heard a rumor that Baxter is going to be offered a new, two-year deal, which if its true, shows that he has SOME potential at the least.
