  1. Hey guys! Can anyone tell me where the best place would be to stream the match online? Unfortunately I'll be at work tonight and I'll have to stream it. There are so many streaming sites out there, but many of them are duds.
  2. As much as I enjoy Donovan and think he'd be great for the Blues, I still don't want Pienaar to go. I'd rather keep him than switch for Donovan.
  3. Here's an article from the World Game: http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/news/1014709/Donovan-interests-Man-City
  4. I personally don't mind them, but I know majority want them piled up and set on fire. So good on Goodison for the ban
  5. Seamus made some great runs, and the goal from Maggie was awesome! Better though, was Rodwell's. I've decided to get his name printed on one of my next jerseys. I had the opportunity to pull Maggie aside after his warm/cool down and got him to add an 18th signature to my shirt!
  6. COYB! A delightful game to watch. Turner made some great saves, and the goal from King Louis flew straight at us in the Everton Supporters section, right in to the back of the net!
  7. They'll make a gorgeous couple. Too bad for us who were anticipating seeing him in action against Melbourne, but he supposedly returned home early for the wedding. Congrats to him and his new, very visually delightful soon-to-be wife.
  8. That makes two of us Being on leave from work, I usually get some more sleep after the games, but it was around 7.30am by the time it was all over. No point
  9. I've said it before. I won't be disappointed if Yak goes. I won't be dismissive of him if he stays. But if there's going to be a switch, Yak for Bellamy? Peanuts needs to stay, as does Mikel. The Spaniard being my favourite in the squad, and peanuts with amazing skill.
  10. Aloisi? Please, his career has dwindled over the years. Yes, he may have performed towards the end of last season, but that's about all he did. He did great for the Roos back in the day, but that's all over now. I am looking forward to the new Melbourne Heart team though. It'll be the first time I see them play, so I'll be able to get a bearing as to how they'll go this coming season. They've taken Sydney's keeper and key defender, Colosimo. Bastards!
  11. I thought we were GMT +10...
  12. Thanks gents. Those words really mean a lot to me. I appreciate the feedback. I'm doing what I can to represent to you guys the great Aussie passion that some of us have He sure did. We noticed this last night. And someone ran on with number 9 as well. I forget who it was, but I didn't like it! That's meant for the return of Donovan!
  13. This was my first live, in the flesh game, I've watched. It was great to finally see the Blues playing, and I look forward to the other two games, in Melbourne and Brisbane. Gueye was impressive in his first match. Looking forward to see what else he can offer in the future games. I also look forward to seeing back Beckford can do for the blues. COYB!
  14. I know that Pienaar's status has been very controversial, but this is only because of all the rubbish that has been posted by the papers. Yes, there have been a few official articles from Everton, but I still say that if he's going to stay I'm going to happy with this. He is a great player and he does well for the Blues. If we lose him, that's just too bad. He's got my support. *ducks for cover*
  15. Howdy again, Here are some photos and images from last night's game against Sydney FC. I arrived at the pre-game drinks which was held at the Aurora Hotel, near Central Station in the city. I walked in to find the room absolutely packed with Blues supporters. It wasn't long before I met a number of people from the ESCA, Fassbasstd! As time was nearing closer for us to leave the pub, the . Again, this was amazing to see so far away from England, where the heart of Everton truly is. After arriving at the stadium, I geared myself up in my new flag and scalf! The boys came out and warmed up. Every time we yelled out their names they took the time to look back, clap and wave at us. Another great night, finally being able to see the Blues perform, right before out eyes! Stay tuned for the next installment from Wednesdays game
  16. Yep, another preview thread of another day amongst the blues. Today was a training day that we got to watch at Sydney's ANZ Stadium. The boys eventually walked in to the stadium and began their warm up routines. The boys had a bit of a kick around while Moysey also had a play with the ball, where he displayed some of his skill. I've seen photos and videos of him having a kick around, but seeing it in person was a whole lot more of an experience. The boys had a bit of a kick around which was great to watch, then they separated and a few had some shooting practice. Again, this was a joy to watch where they hammered shot after shot. Then we have Bainsey and a few others doing... Pilates? Some were stretching, while Vaughn had some passing practice with Steve Round. The day ended when the players made their way back through the tunnel. As they made they were through they signed and greeted the fans again. Moysey stayed for quite some time signing, as did King Louis. Another awesome day
  17. They sure are. They've been so accommodating to the fans. It's been an amazing week And the games haven't even started yet! I sure will. Cheers Milky It has been good to see him enjoying himself. Unfortunately I don't have much to compare to because I haven't seen what he's been like in England, but again, he seems to be loving it. It has cost a bit of coin. But when is this going to happen again? Maybe in another 20 years? I don't get to enjoy their company on a week-to-week basis, so it's all VERY worth it
  18. Hey folks, Here's another preview thread of an event I went to while the Blues were in Sydney. The event was a Gala dinner, a fundraiser for Tim Cahill's charity, the Children's Cancer Council. The event was held at Rooty Hill RSL in the function room. Before this began though, the players first made their way in to the Novotel next door for a media conference. Lucky for me, I was with someone who was staying at the hotel so I was able to bypass the barriers and wait inside for them to walk straight past. The players arrived and walked directly in front of a small group of us and greeted us. A few stopped for signatures and a few didn't. My highlight of this was Phil Neville who was more than happy to sign. As he walked up the stairs he turned back, pointed at a shirt, and said "Sign boys." A very good display of leadership and participation with the fans. We then made our way to the function room and sat at our table. I had a good glance around at the setup which was very impressive. At our table was a raffle item. Each table had a fully signed Jabulani ball with a copy of Fifa World Cup on PS3. I went for a walk and had a look at the auction and silent auction items. Of course, all proceeds were donated to the cancer council. Our MC for the night, a big brother presenter, Mikey Robbins took to the stage. Shortly the team made their way in the room and eventually made their way to the stage for some interviews, similar to the ones from the Q&A night. A comedian/magician came to the stage for a short show. Some of you might know him, Matt Hollywood. He performed an impressive act which he called the . We had a three course meal which was nice, shortly followed a speech from a professor on children's cancer. We then had to watch a very sad video of a young girl who fought cancer a few years ago. Her father then made his way to the stage for a difficult yet touching speech. We then had an auction which was run by Scott Gibbins, aka Mr Sold. This was amazing as items were sold very large amounts of money. I recall a jersey signed by the England squad selling for about $7000. However my highlight was Mikel Arteta. He bidded on a trip for two to Thailand. The amount slowly climbed up to the few thousand mark, and he then started bidding against himself! Mr Sold raised the price $500 at a time. Each time he threw the price at Arteta he simply smiled and nodded, finishing with a price of $4500. A class act, yet again. The auction made way for the comedian of the evening, Bruno Lucia. He was absolutely hilarious. It was good to see the team in stitches from laughing, notably Phil Neville and Arteta. Then came time for some awards and speeches from Presidents, Vice Presidents and Politicians. When this finished it was time to get in amongst the team for more signatures and photographs. I was lucky enough to get a moment with the boss for a great photo. I went from player to player and received signature after signature as they were willing and happy to sign my Everton home jersey. The night soon concluded. Did I forget to mention that I won the raffle for the signed Jabulani ball? Here's my winnings and my now, almost fully, signed Everton shirt. Another great night. It makes me, as well as many other Aussie Everton supporters, feel that much closer to the players. I can say I left the RSL a very happy and satisfied man!
  19. Just got back from a Gala dinner event with the whole team. I'll make a couple of new threads for that and one for the training session tomorrow. And just a quick one, for those who were in doubt about Saha being downunder as he's been absent from news and photos, we saw him at the dinner
  20. They all looked great. But apparently Neville isn't playing against Sydney. I'll know more about whether or not anyone's injured at this Friday's training session
  21. Video is up and first post edited with link. Enjoy
  22. Correct! After a large number of people started cracking them open, the MC politely told us that the hotel would prefer that they do not get consumed inside the hotel, and rather elsewhere. So... they ended up in my bag. Not that I drink beer, but my mate appreciated it
  23. Greetings folks, As some of you may be aware, the Everton Supports Club of Australia (ESCA) organised a Q&A and signing session with the squad. This was organised at the Marriott Hotel in Sydney. Here's a link to the Everton official article. The night started off with some pre-drinks in a lounge area, followed by a walk up the stairs to the function room. This is where I was greeted by a poster of the king himself, Arteta! After finding a spot at a table, this is what we had waiting for us. Also on the table were these, and these. Eventually the first set of players came out (horrible photo, I know). You'll find the details of the players that were interviewed and who signed in Everton's article above. The boss came up for his questionnaire and received a standing ovation! However, above all this was one of my highlights of the night. Billy's interview. He struggled with his English and it made not only us, the supporters, but his team mates and manager laugh hysterically. . Again, horrible camera work, but I did what I could in the dark and the distance that I had to work with. We had a good laugh at the beginning as you'll see, and then pay attention around the 1:30 mark. Here are a couple of other images I picked up. After the interviews concluded we had about a five minute break, and the players switched. On came the signing crew! Again, you can view which players these were in the link at the top. I received all eight signatures on my home kit, and Arteta's signature on my 09/10 kit with his name on it. It's now ready to be framed. Furthermore, he was happy to have a photo taken with me. This made my night I hope you enjoyed this small preview in to our night down here in Sydney. Stay tuned for further posts of tomorrow nighs charity dinner with all the players, Friday's training session, and all three games coming up.
  24. But he hasn't gone anywhere... right?
