A West Ham executive has been quoted as saying that Ba is set to join Everton after being released by West Ham. I would be happy with signing him as he has already made a great start to his premier league career. He is big, mobile, and scores goals. On a free transfer is perfect for us and with reported wages of around 50,000 pw, he would basically be taking up the wages which we no longer pay Pienaar. I think if you look at the situation... Yakubu is 28 years old, proven premier league experience and scores goals wherever he goes including Leicester on loan. So what's the catch? surely we don't need to look elsewhere for a striker because we have one already on a decent contract who should still have at least 3 or 4 years left in him at the highest level. right???..... wrong, the fact is Yakubu cannot be 28, there is no way that a player who should be at the peak of his career should be having so many weight problems and motivational problems. My guess is that he is around 34-35 and unfortunately he has tricked clubs into signing him and we are left with a waster, if he was really 28 then a whole host of high quality clubs would be coming in for him because his record speaks for itself. So he has no future with us because he is older than stated and we must get as much as we can for him as soon as possible

i personally find the match highlights commentator that they use to be really dull and he does'nt really give you the feeling of 'get in' when a great goal is scored.

I agree that this goal should be in there somewhere and perhaps the Baines goal against City. But there is so little to choose between them all because they are all great goals and equally valuable when they were scored.

Its just not likely to happen. City will spend loads again this summer, so it pretty much leaves Arsenal as the team we will need to overtake. We will need to have a flawless season to even have a chance. I can see the league looking very different from this season. The top 8 will be miles ahead of the rest I think.

I would be happy with a game like Spurs away. A difficult game and a game where it wouldn't neccessarily be the end of the world if we lost.
