JohnDTraynor
Every top player is supposed to be moving from one "big" club to another "big" club, or to Liverpool, and yet no-one has actually moved at all. Didn't transfers used to happen much more quickly?
Bill
Crouch has passed a medical and is signing for pompey today, he,s a big player, (but only in size). Will probably set the merry go round moving on transfers. NUGENT FOR 3 MILLION WOULD BE A GOOD BUY, THEN SAVE THE JOHNSON MONEY FOR A TOP MIDFIELDER. Me too....see I knew if I left my avatar as Nugent long enough you would all subconciously want him at Everton
Bill
Never been given a chance at Pompey and its rumoured that they will let him go to Ipswich for 3 Million, at that price i would give him a go. If Johnson goes, we would need to cover Yakubu and Vaughan in case they get injured. Good bench player for £3m.

jamiemaher85
Personally I think that he will want first team football now, i think we will chose regular football in championship to bench in the prem. That will probably be the best thing for his career as well, he is still young and needs games to keep improving and reach anything near his potential. Bill
Must be on a good wage at Pompey, cant see him getting half the money at Ipswich as he could get here. IF WE WANTED HIM I THINK HE WOULD COME, he did everything possible to come here last season but Moyes obviously didnt make a move for him, but 3 million is a price that could turn Daveys Head. Everton_Worshiper
Yay...lets start a rumour about Nugent. *Runs off to email The Sun*
jamiemaher85
Didn't know where to post this one, but Robbie Fowler has gone to Blackburn. What the fuck is that all about? I can't see a more random and unexpected signing this summer (mainly because there probably won't be anymore signings this summer!)
Randomness
the credit crunch is having a wider effect than anticpated.
Romey 1878
Guthrie has signed for the Barcodes from the shite, I wouldn't have minded him here tbh.
jacko 1990
Any truth behind Carson signing for stoke for 4 million? Sounds a Bargain Imo if this is true (not looked on SSn or anything) Edited July 14, 2008 by jacko1990

jamiemaher85
Seems really random this one, especially seeing as Villa where being quoted £10m for him. Would be a good signing for Stoke if they pull it off though
Everton_Worshiper
So news on the Nugent front is it is a no go. Apparently strong opinions from the club that he cannot cut it in the Premiership and even around £1-2m he is not worth the gamble Personally I don't think he is 'that' bad. J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
still fairly intrested witht the spurs striker situation with basicly all 3 of them being linked with a move away just hope the outcome is us landing bent
Randomness
with all the strikers being linked away spurs chances of 4th will decrease. hopefully.
jamiemaher85
Sunderland are close to wrapping up the signatures of Malbranque, Taino, Chimbonda and Kaboul for the combinded fee of 23m! Christ. Keane has more money than sense. Wasn't it last year when he spent 20m on Richardson, Chopra and Jones. I like Keane, but his activity in the transfer market is questionable. 23m? What a joke. Thats basically 5.75m a player. and none of them are worth that.

Id well much rather have malbranque than A.J an he's been priced at 10 million + so i dont think its to bad of a deal, the only player id say isnt worth 5 million there is tainio. Kaboul will be class after a few seasons.
