Everton_Worshiper
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/t...and/7764671.stm Didn't think he would go just yet but he has.
jamiemaher85
Not shocked at all. It was inevitable really, every statement he made about his managment position made it very clear that he didn't want to be there. He never really did a great job though, the amount of money he spent was ludicrous for the quality of player he was bringing in. Maybe with the club in slight turmoil now a cheeky bid for Malbranque would be a good idea, i think he's a good player and the type of player that we need. DangerMouse
The mans ego is the biggest probem... he thought he was better than the club.... the comments he made sometimes where a bit out of order, im surprised he wasnt sacked first.... Quinn is far too timid to fire someone with the mentaility and ego of Keane
dark
Croatia coach Slaven Bilic has become the bookmakers favourite to replace Roy Keane at Sunderland, despite not being held among the leading candidates with the club's board. The 40-year-old's odds are currently 6/4, with Ricky Sbragia and Alan Curbishley just behind, and while there is no indication that he is even in the running, his recent rise in the rankings suggests he is in with a chance. Chairman Niall Quinn has made no secret of the fact that he won't be making a hurried decision, and that the board is more than happy to allow caretaker manager Sbragia to oversee first team affairs for the time being. Romey 1878
I'd have thought Bilic would have gone to a bigger club tbh, but I hope he does well if he does end up there.
dark
Having said that the Premiership is a big league in itself, so maybe he'll join Sunderland for some experaince. Maybe joining Sunderland will open doors for him with other Premier clubs in years to come. IMO he'll do well wherever he goes, and all the best to him

I reckon that's what Keane did, but it's just shown him up to be a quitter.
