Now we're standing still and we've just been lucky enough that other teams have underperformed. Next season I think it will be different, I don't expect to qualify for Europe again next year without some decent signings in this window. the 'other teams' underperform every year mainly because they don't have as a good a manager and as good players in most positions. I agree we need to make signings but let's not forget that we had no Yakubu for virtually the whole season, Arteta for a major part of it plus injuries to the likes of Cahill, Anichebe, Jagielka, Vaughan etc etc to contend with as well. Barring another injury crisis we'll be stronger next year regardless, especially with Rodwell coming through and hopefully Fellaini a bit sharper. We will make signings anyway, I have no doubt.
