inertia8
I guess this is a call to arms for fellow special1tv lovers... I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but I couldn't find "special1" or "special1tv" via forum search. For me, one of the many weekly joys in watching football and reading the articles pertaining to the game we love was to watch this whitty five minute show on Setanta.. or indeed on 'the youtube'.. as the network and production company were happy for it to be uploaded there. It was always a joy to watch and work out what was going to transpire on the show from any 'incidents' during the previous 2 weeks. For those that don't know about the show, or want a re-watch every episode: http://www.youtube.com/user/Doitchampions#p/c/514CEF8FC1621F16 Recommend you watch this one to see just how good the show could be at times: http://www.youtube.com/user/Doitchampions#p/c/514CEF8FC1621F16/52/8OX3NuNAEQQ Mario, the man behind the puppets has a twitter stream: http://twitter.com/special1tv/ There is a number of online petitions, this one is linked by Mario himself via twitter.. only 620ish so far.. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/special1tv/index.html If you loved the show, then please sign up to the petition and sign up to follow special1tv on twitter.. It would be nice to see one of the networks pick it up! Thank you. Fergus Edited October 13, 2009 by inertia8

Ian C
Go onto iTunes and search for Gift Grub or the Ian Dempsey Show podcast. Gift Grub is a 5 minute segment every morning on the radio in which he takes the piss out of Irish and other celebrities, politicians and current events. It made him famous. Also if you're ever in Dublin, he does the rounds at all the main corporate restaurants at lunch time for live shows. EDIT: He also releases a CD compilation every year around Christmas, you'd easily find them on the interwebs. jamiemaher85
I enjoyed "I'm On Setanta Sports" but thought that it got really tired by the end of the season. The puppets and impressiions where very good but I thought the quality of the writing was fairly low and it got very predictabl by the end of the year.
