Memmaclub
This was stated in an article I read. what criteria makes the best academy. is it how many good players which go on to be first team regualrs it produces. Is it hwo many world class players it creates. Or is it how much money is put in.
Louis
I think it's how many players your academy brings into professional football (any division). There's a comprehensive list on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finch_Farm#Past_Academy_Players
Romey 1878
We've got bucketloads of former academy players in the lower leagues.
marcopaulo
id agree with romey..we have countless former ones in other leagues also we produce one of the best on the planet and another superstar in the making(rodwell) in the space of a few years..id like to think ours was up there really but i think there's always a grey area though as looking at arsenal some of those kids have been brought in from other clubs at say 13-14 does it still count then? Yep of course. All players are brought in from some sort of youth club, just because the youth club happens to have a good senior team doesn't make it any different than signing a useful looking 13 year old from Local F.C
