Although they weren't playing against top opposition, Rodwell looked very calm and assured in the middle (as always!). This was his first game as captain & he commanded the guys well. Despite going off after an hour (it was a friendly) he still picked up man of the match. I have to admit I was quite disappointed with Victor Moses & Daniel Sturridge - based upon last night I wouldn't predict either would ever play for the full side. FairWooney Posted August 11, 2010 Report Share Posted August 11, 2010 I watched it on telly and thought Rodwell had a good game, the chance where he played a pass that got intercepted but won it back and beat 3 players to go through on goal was very impressive, great footwork and only denied by good keeping. At times he lacked the end product as with most young wingers it seems but he did get some lovely balls across the goal and always looked dangerous.
