Pip: Sign Howard

Recommended Posts

Everton captain Phil Neville hopes on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper Tim Howard eventually signs permanently at Goodison Park.

He said: "This season, every time he has been called upon, he has answered it. That's the sign. A good back four is only as good as their keeper and we have got an outstanding one at the minute. He's been the catalyst for us keeping all these clean sheets.

"I have always thought he was a good keeper. He thrives on confidence and is benefiting from getting continual games. He has got the confidence he is going to be playing in most games. He isn't making mistakes.

"He is thriving and I just hope that we can sign him, to be honest, because you won't see many better keepers than him in the Premiership at the moment."
