  1. He's fit now though. http://www.manchesterunited-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/owen_fit_again_611078/index.shtml
  2. http://news.google.co.uk/news/search?aq=f&cf=all&ned=uk&hl=en&q=Everton+OWEN I personally don't see any harm in him coming on loan for a while. If we can get that spark that he used to have back then he could be a kep player for us for the rest of the season. Everyone says he's useless, unfit, crap ect but he hasn't really had a chance to play first team football for a while. Maybe after a few games he might supprise us and grab himself a few goals.
  3. Link 1 I think it would be a good signing if United where interested.
  4. Just said on ssn that leighton baines has been omitted from the final squad.

    West Ham (home)

so pissed off at the moment! At least we didn't lose but it's games like this we need to be winning! I still think 5th is a possibilty though! But we need to win the rest of our games!
  6. Great News! We should def beat sporting now, and spurs on sunday! coyb x
  7. damn right! I hate the way united and other top teams think they have the right to get steal our players. United can't afford rodwell which is good but even if they could Moyes should just reject every thing because he is the future. Im certain rodwell knows he's at the right club to take him forward. I also recon we can take 4th this year. But if not 4th, the we should be looking for 5th.
  8. Everton set to offer Pienaar new contract. http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Everton-set-to-offer-Pienaar-new-contract/5939/
  9. I personally think now there's an 95% chance that donovan will move here permenantly. I mean it's very unlikely he will return to Mls because he's done all he can do over there, we know he loves everton and it feels like 'home' to him. He indicates in reports nearly every week that he would like to stay here. And i don't think he would go to any other premierleague club because everton was his first and I can't think of any other club that would make donovan feel at home like everton do. coyb x

  11. Pienaar - Everton is my home Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar insists he is happy at Goodison Park after speculation surfaced over his future. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11671_5956834,00.html
  12. Steven Pienaar: I'm staying at Everton FC http://www.dailypost.co.uk/sport-news/everton-fc/2010/02/18/steven-pienaar-i-m-staying-at-everton-fc-55578-25858908/ Pienaar: I want to win the Europa League with Everton - and then sign new deal http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Steven-Pienaar-I-want-to-win-the-Europa-League-with-Everton-and-then-sign-new-deal-article325967.html But the midfielder wants the situation resolved with a new deal soon, and said: “I feel this is my home. The supporters have always been good to me and I always give 100%. “I definitely aim to play here for a lot longer, why not? Talk of moving is only rumours and I am definitely enjoying my football here.” Read article for more information.

  14. Everton boss David Moyes spies on Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo while in Portugal http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1251014/Everton-boss-David-Moyes-spies-Benfica-striker-Oscar-Cardozo-Portugal.html
  15. we shouldn't be wasting this money on more defenders. We have plenty of decent defenders: Baines, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Neville (can play rb), Yobo, Heitinga, Coleman, Senderos (on loan but still a valid defender), (Gosling & Rodwell can both play in defence if needed) Ok so Yobo and Jags are injured, but it's only a matter of time until they return and then Moyes has a bunch of defenders to choose from. We should be saving this 4mill for donovan. Ok we might have to sell a player like vaughan but then we'd have enough.
  16. http://www.tribalfootball.com/everton-boss-moyes-not-confident-donovan-stay-636771 Everton manager David Moyes is not confident of holding onto Landon Donovan for longer than his original loan deal. Following the 2-1 win over Chelsea midweek, in which Donovan was a major influence, Moyes admitted that it would be hard to keep the USA international around at Goodison Park. “That was Landon's best game for us," Moyes said after the triumph over Chelsea. "But I don't think we'll be able to keep him when his three-month loan expires unfortunately." Donovan joined the Toffees in early January and will remain at the club until late March but by the looks of it, a move for a loan extension does not seem likely.
  17. http://www.toffeeweb.com/season/09-10/comment/fan/article.php?submissionID=14521 1. The Everton faithful have to make him feel welcome. So I think to a large extent, mission accomplished on that front. 2. I think his recent contract was a strategy by his advisors to get some up-front money from MLS, with an eye towards marketing him in England for 3 months, then hoping he stays healthy and puts in a good performance at the World Cup, which triggers competition from European clubs over the summer. This would lead to a buyout of the MLS contract and another windfall for his advisors. Remember, no-one knows what's in his contract and there is speculation in the US that he has a little more control over his fate than either he or Moyes is letting on. 3. Everton will need to cough up probably £6 million, maybe a bit more depending on the World Cup. 4. My sense it that he loves Everton and that Everton would have the inside track over any other club. I believe this is the reason Moyes continues to start Donovan regardless of his form. Let's face it, two of Donovan's six appearances could easily have resulted in a benching. It's Moyes's way of baiting Donovan — "If you sign here later this summer, you WILL play". Donovan has already been at big Euro Clubs so I doubt any counter offer from a "Big Club" will impress him. Ultimately the limiting factors are: – Can Everton come up with the money this summer? Answer - Yes – Does Donovan want to come to Everton on a long term deal? Answer - Probably. Frankly, I think the wild card in all this would be his wife. I am confident that Donovan has authority to leave the MLS if a fixed sum (£XM?) or higher is offered; the way his MLS contract was negotiated simultaneously with the Everton deal tells me the MLS deal was written with an eye towards leaving. Lastly, over the next 5 months I wouldn't trust ANYTHING I read or heard from MLS, Everton or Donovan... there's no upside for anyone to tip their hand too early. The MLS negotiating crew are rank amateurs and tried to play the original loan story as if the Everton deal in December was on hold because of other "offers" from unknown European Clubs... which was pure crap. What Moyes's press conference tells me is that, barring an MLS lockout, Landon Donovan will return to the States in March. What was left unsaid... is that the real dance begins in July and all three parties know it. I think the fans and Moyes and Donovan have done everything right so far in terms of setting the table for a deal after the World Cup. My guess is that it's probably going to happen.
  18. no way would moyes ever let rodders go for 12 mill, 20 would be the minimum probably. Here's the original News Of The World report to - http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/721647/FERGUSONS-PLAN-FOR-RODWELL.html
  19. STUNNING LINK HERE - http://www.sportstv.ulmb.com/ HAS NOT STOPPED ONCE SINCE KICK OFF! COYB XXXXXXXX
  20. I really hope we sign donovan. I think it's clear he wants to stay. I was reading over on the MLS's forums, that donovan has nothing left back in america. http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1301524 ''There's nothing left for him here. Wife gone. Perennial golden boot, mvp, athlete of the year etc... It's only been a couple of games so we'll see. Not sure he's doing quite as well as the media is leading on to believe but he still can be proud.'' So even the yanks think he hasn't got much left.
  21. I think anything other than a win would be disappointing. I saw livepool on motd last night, and they where terrible. Kuyts goal was shite and the other one was from a deflection. I think right now we have a better squad than they do hands down. So yeah, I will be very very annoyed if we lose next saturday. A draw might be acceptable if both teams play very well, but I think for Everton it's a must win! COYB X X
