  1. I'm with you bill, got plenty of midfielders, we could lose mikel and buy a couple of wingers or striker.
  2. Haha your right mate, you can't help me! I hope someone else here on TT will be kind hearted enough to give me a helping hand! But everything listed in your last few posts still leaves the same bottom line on the accounts. Revenue minus costs will always equal profit, your just renaming subsections which can be unravelled by an equally competent accountant anyway.
  3. We never get more sensible mike! My old man is a 60 year old boy! We don't grow up!
  4. Learnt that the hard way mike, a 19 year old should not have access to £20k in unsecured loans and credit cards. I know it's not nothing, I just mean nothing visible or saleable.
  5. I think we will need possibly less than £5m for a down payment, if only the money from pienaar and Vaughan was around, and maybe yaks loan fee from last year. Shame it's all been swallowed up on nothing!
  6. Hmm dave whelan has been saying thy would let him go for a reasonable figure. Now THE SUN say £20m, I believe that really! The same way I believe the news of the world is finishing. What's that you say? The sun will now be realeased on a Sunday aswell? Hmm
  7. Id love mcgeady and n'zogbia on th wings, Cahill supporting a lone striker who can lead the line with felli and Arteta in the middle (if Arteta can find form again). I can only dream. If we could throw rodellega into that we would have serious attacking pace with Cahill coming in with late runs and Arteta on the fridge with felli cleaning up. Add an attacking full back or two into that and I'll jizz on my own face. Won't happen.
  8. Essien is fantastic, his first season at Chelsea he was prob the best midfielder in the prem, but I think after the injuries he's had he doesn't seem as dynamic anymore.
  9. It is worth noting after saying we should not have access to financial information, that people can buy shares in the club, I myself only have one but I do own part of the club, I am entitled to that information. Also, saying we do not need to know how much the club is for sale for, buyers also need to know this. It could be helpful in the sale of the club and give shareholders the chance to see what the club value the shares at.
  10. Made me laugh!!! But we won't get him, don't worry mate.
  11. Haf, I didn't know we were friends. I feel all warm inside! Haha
  12. Haha pax read what you and I have both said, if I am guilty of putting words in your mouth or making things up then you are also! I also said we have over the years gone through this stuff before, and I have seen the documents here for myself so I shall not be listing them. If you wish to see you can scroll through the years of topics here to find them. And come on, accounts do actually show the facts. They are a legal document! Information given at AGMs & EGMs given to share holders is also portrayed BY THE CLUB as fact. And I'm still unsure how you would like me to prove my ideas for how the club could be improved without a new stadium. If it is an idea I have had, how would you like me to prove it? A brain even as genius as mine can not prove an idea. Can you prove my ideas would not benefit the club? Either way we would need £100m to prove each other wrong. The way things have been done around here for a long time is when people can see they can not change another persons opinion is we agree to disagree. I will not agree with your opinions but you are entitled to them. So I agree to disagree with you, though I'm not sure what I'm actually disagreeing with as i can not see your view point after all your posts. You do seem like quite a character and your obviously passionate about the blues too so I hope you do stick around. Just wait until transfer deadline day, you'll fuckin love it!
  13. In terms of transfers we can only judge by speculation unfortunately, but I always trust notes judgement on players as he looks at them a lot more than I do. He clearly rates him. So one club who have made a solid concrete bid? Everton. And I am very very glad they did.
  14. It's clear you have no sense of business knowledge pax or you would understand any debt free business has much more chance of turning a profit simply due to lower expenses. Take a look at how Stoke with a smaller stadium and similar size corps manages to have a larger transfer kitty. Bored now, this is all conversations most of us on here have had many times over Some people do not want to take the time and find the facts out for themselves, just spout that the facts do not exist because they are not advertised. Lots of people on here have spent the time doing the digging, going to AGMs and reading annual accounts to understand the ins and outs. If you want to know facts louis has posted pretty much all of them often with links to the documents in question. Take a look through the pages and find some very useful info hidden away in TT. I'm Gunna read something else for a while, I need a break.
  15. Just had a little read back, you started off defending but you've jumped at me for trying to be a little cautious financially and you are saying we need to spend champs league money on players. For the record, when man u, man c, Liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea, spurs, villa, Blackburn have all got quite a bit of cash, throw us into the pot with the imaginary billionaire, who will be in Europe?
  16. Jesus fuckin Christ yourself pax! I'm looking at it from the angle that there is no one out there willing to throw half a billion at us and we could continue to progress in a more stable mannor with someone who just came in with £100m. If you want to know evertons profits without debt take a look at the clubs accounts they have been published online. I've not seen my shareholder copy yet, they go to my fathers business address and as of June I don't live local anymore. Also, calm down a little mate. I'm worried you might hurt yourself if you carry on and I'm not sure louis has got the health and safety file up to date.
  17. He had an average goals return for a below average team. With a better team he could be a very good player.
  18. I don't think you get my point mate, yes we do need a stadium from a growth point of view, I mean we don't need one from the point of view that we don't have one to play in. Also all this we need more corporate seats, we haven't sold out the corporate seats we have now for years! Our sales figures have gone down year on year. Well in fact they have stayed the same in £, but we sell less Corp seats but our prices have gone up so it sort of balances out. My point of leaving the stadium for five years after any sort of take over is that we would have much more money after five years of debt free business.
  19. All I can really offer is that if felli was not a good player would he be attracting clubs the size of the ones who have showed interest?
  20. We don't need someone to come in and spend £500m we don't need a new stadium. We need someone to come in and pay off the debts and let the club run on it's own profits and give it maybe five years of solid debt free running, then consider the stadium issue. Goodison is not falling down! In the mean time I'd just be happy if bill stepped down as chairman, stay on the board as a director, and maybe let carter sit as chairman until a possible buyer comes along. It would at least reduce a bit of the strain coming bills way.
  21. Can only dream of taking rodellega and nzog from Wigan in one swoop.
  22. Wouldn't be so sure, by all accounts this guy has his eye on football all over the world, and has scouted in England long enough in his last stint at Chelsea.
  23. Move Mucha on and make a profit then fine. But I'm pretty sure he'll come in as third choice to replace turner.
