I agree this guy wouldnt be viable, he cant even raise the 50 he needs for Brum, but what makes an investor suitable? If you think any of them are going to put the club before them making a profit you are dreaming and that goes for Man U, Liverpool and all the others bought by non-fans. There are no Evertonian sugar daddys waiting in the wings but There can be mutual gains for both parties from an outside investor, success and profit.

We seem automatically suspicious of foreign interest. Just because a potential investor is foreign doesn't automatically make him Satan in disguise. Johnson was from Birkenhead and ripped our club apart, almost took us into the championship and did a runner leaving us high and dry.

dont forget, johnson put up the cash for all his managers to buy the players they wanted to buy. he had innovative ideas for the stadium issue.

when he left he sold the club for what it was worth, just as he bought it for what it was worth.

the problem johnson had was he hired the wrong managers, and im sure he would tell you the same

truth is, not one of us knows whats going on behind the scenes, if we are trying to bring players in, if we are trying to sell. none of know.

and with out buyuing them players we probably wouldnt have qualified for europe, so im quite happy we spent the money last year to buy some of the best players we've had in our generation

We'll most definitely be in the black in a years time after we've failed to compete in Europe and Arteta decides he'd rather play play in the Champions League with his friend Xabi at the shite. My view on it what was the point in buying those players last summer if it was going to hold us back this summer when it really matters?

they also may have had a meeting with Peter Johnson, they may have the design plans Johnson had for redevelopment, both on the current footprint and in the 90* turn towards the school.

they seem convinced it would be both realistic and affordable to redevelop the old lady into a 60k if done properly

it would be possible to rebuild and stay at GP, newcastle did it, man utd did it.

look on the KEIOC site, at the GFE plan, im sure that plan had no lower attendance than 30k at any one time.

im all for that. ive thought a bit about the safe standing area, and the designated unreserved seating/singing section. i think if this was put together it might help bring back the atmosphere we've been missing

Not entirely true, fans are embracing Goodison at the moment but killing the atmosphere there are many factors that influence moving a passionate crowd into a new stadium and the fans wanting to move is a very small percentage of that!

we have to be carefull with our money, and im sure its a fair bit less than £40m, but it has to be spread around the whole club, not just transfer fees. we need to invest in the club as a whole, as well as players. and i for one will be happy if we wait a few weeks to save £1m.

We will probs lose Jagielka as well, trying to hang on for the £4m Clause in his contract to kick in, ffs pay them £5m and sign him now.

surely its worth waiting a few weeks to save £1m, we arent flush with cash are we! also save a few weeks wages. im happy to wait for jags.
