Martinez is not making a very good impression on me already before even a ball is kicked, considering blowing 6m on Kone is terrible business. Every other club is actually making decent signings whilst our transfer policy's and prospective targets are very underwhelming and certainly will not add much quality to our squad or will help bring the average age down, I would be incredibly disappointed if all we signed was Kone and some other old over priced underwhelming players. There has got to he so many strikers out there why are we going in for Kone just because he wants to come to us and reunite with Martinez? If we do sign Kone and Alcaraz it will be showing a real lack of ambition from the board and our new manager.

Not going to lie I DON'T want him he's too old for the money we are paying, Martinez said he wasn't necessarily going to go sign Wigan players and he could be looking at a more broader market? Please tell me where he's been looking because there has got to be some younger better striking options available. Does he not understand we had the second oldest team last season and its not going to get younger buying a 29 year old for 6 million. He has been crap in all 3 games I've seen him play he has a dreadful first touch and can't finish the simplest of chances that team mates have worked hard to create for this donkey, his decision making is also awful I'm not quite sure he has any other attribute other than his height

The structure and style of play and work ethic of some of the players in the team is just generally dreadful. We were lucky to get a point out of that game we were not good enough and again Ross Barkley was the key man in the team we only really look dangerous when he runs at defenders otherwise there is very little or no attacking outlet. As when Kane has the ball he is wasteful and doesn't have a good enough footballing brain to know when to hold the ball and give it to a played in space also a lot of his shots are just really really bad! Stones played better in the second half and played quite decent at right back. There was very little play through the middle of the park.

I'm sure Alan Irvine and Alan Stubbs will inform Martinez of his progress and suggest his contract gets renewed plus Martinez will be watching him when he plays in the u20 World Cup. It would be a loss because he's a good prospect and looked good when he played against leyton orient last year

The 4th season doesn't come out to November so you've got time to watch the first 3 seasons.
