Dunc's Pace? He has never had that much pace - what he has got is a unique presence that scares most defences in the country. He has also got a decent first touch - both with his head and his feet. He is a good player because he brings an air of expectation to the side and fills other 'more timid' players with confidence. Who is going to crunch Arteta when fergie is about? Ask the bucharest player about that one - lived to regret that harsh tackle!!! Huth - next time chelsea come knocking - Fergie will be waiting for this guy!

In response to Livtons (or tonliv) - I have never criticised any club for having foreigners in the side. I have mentioned that both Everton and Liverpool were better clubs when the old rules used to apply (only 3 foreigners) - we had good, british, raw talent - Rush, Sharp, Sheedy, Heath, Whelan, etc.etc. However, I do not think that there is a problem at the moment with having europeans etc in the squad and team - Football is supposed to be cultural and cosmopolitan - it therefore has to have a 'free' flow for players to play in any country that hosts the great game. If and when the rules change (back to limiting the amount of foreigners in the side) - the premiership will not be full of so many mercenaries and 'in it for the ride' players - like Kewell.

I think that Ferrari has been a very good addition to the squad. Both full back positions last season lacked the ability to stride forward and support the wingers/midfielders. Both valente and Ferrari do it a lot - and its something that we have missed. Unfortunately it doesn't work too well when you have an aging CB (weir) covering! Hibbert is also benefiting from having the two full backs (and neville) in the squad - they are teaching him to go forward and support... ferrari - I would like him to stay.

Because even if we did - you lot would still make out that you far superior... even if we did - Uefa woudl give you a nice 'dispensation' that said that no one else is allowed to win it.

We judge our team on a 'game by game' basis... get real - how many efc fans were moaning after the villareal game - none how many after teh utd game - none. how many RS fans were up in arms at half time during the CL final - 3-0 down - EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YA - Infact the pub i was in, some fans through their shirts at the tv - and that wasn't even after the game - it was at half time! I am what alot of people refer to on here as the "bluenose".... But as much i am a blue supporter, i for one do hope that Liverpool stay up and are not relegated this season. For one...i would miss the 2 derbys each season I honestly reckon that Liverpool are in a false postion at the moment and im sure by the time Xmas comes, they will have started to climb the table again. All true - but we have to stay ULTRA positive and help the lads out. I feel that the crowd on Saturday were a big influence on the performance. Lampard stated months back that Goodison was the ground he feared most because the fans were so close and very loud. We are the best and most loyal fans in the league. We need to get behind the lads and spur them on again to a good win against boro (unless he puts the reserves out!) and a super win away against the Brum...
