  3. Rafa the Robber is in tescos car park when he spots an old lady with a lot of full shopping bags. He immediately runs over and asks: ''ello, can you manage?'' The old lady looks up and says: 'fuck off, you got yourself into that mess, you can get yourself out!' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- what is 3 foot long and wrapped around a smelly c*nt? A liverpool scarf
  4. Top tip for Liverpool fans: Don't waste money on an expensive new kit every season. Simply strap a large inflatable dick to your forehead and everyone will immediately know what team you support! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q. What's the difference between Harry Kewell and a Skoda? A. One is always breaking down, unreliable and expensive - the other one is a car! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Four surgeons are having a coffee break. The first one says, "I like operating on accountants best because everything inside is numbered!" The second one says, "Nah, I like librarians! Everything inside them is always in alphabetical order!" The third one says, "Electricians, they're the best! Everything inside them is colour coded!" The forth one says, "I prefer operating on Liverpool Fans! They're gutless, heartless, spineless, and their heads and backsides are interchangeable!"
  5. why do Kopites whistle when they take a dump?? So they remember which end to wipe - the GOBSHITES!
  6. Well - I hope big dunc has read that! If that doesn't give barbosa a swift 'scottish elbow' to the chops then nothing will!!!! Barbosa - this is your last match!
  7. During the first leg, the performance of Everton showed the character that got them through the season past. They displayed the sheer determination and grunt that exposed and opened up so many teams in the 04/05 domestic season. Unfortunately, they enter the second leg of this tie with a 2-1 deficit, meaning that the odds are stacked against them and yet again the blue half of Merseyside are seeing themselves as ‘the underdog’. But little expectation suits the blues and they always aim to raise their game to prove all doubters wrong. The first leg desperately showed Everton’s inexperience on the European stage, they struggled to play the free flowing game and as seems to be necessary in the champion’s league; they struggled to play the referee. The game at Goodison saw a bright start from the home team and they looked like an outfit that were going to take the competition by the horns – but it wasn’t to be. A guttering first goal by the visitors, against the run of play, hurt the blue boys. Some time after, the tempo was picked up again as James Beattie scored a very typical ‘British strikers goal’ – when he toe-poked from 6/7 yards out. To their dismay, Everton were immediately pinned back with a superb diving header that kept Villareal out in front. Later in the game, Moyes’ boys simply paid the Spaniards far too much respect and allowed the on-touch passages of play to prevail. Everton, in the second half of that game, really struggled to cope with the swift movement of a good European outfit and rarely had chance on the visitor’s goal. Something tells us that it will be different during the return leg. The first game showed that Everton settled in front of the European referee as Villareal drew four yellow cards to Everton’s one. This match will be officiated by Collina – Italy’s and arguably the World’s best referee (certainly the most famous). The game looks set to be a battle of wits and courage, not skill. This game may well produce the latest in a line of Everton legends – and its there for the taking. The blues have come under heavy criticism recently from various media sources, for being over-rated and nothing more than a side that occasionally ‘gets lucky’. Even after finishing 4th in the premiership, the doubters still seem to cast a dark cloud over Goodison park and are relentless in their bombardment of negative columns, articles and broadcasts suggesting that the Blues are still surrounded by the ‘bubble of good fortune’ and that it will, one day, burst. The Villareal game will be the toughest challenge that the team has had to face yet, especially when trying to fight the deficit and ‘away’ goal rule. A 2-0 win is a must but is easier said than done. This tournament is a bonus and reward to the players and fans that endured the past season. It is nothing more but should not be wasted by a few lapse moments that lead to two stunning goals. To go out of the competition now would be gut wrenching but the fans and players have to remember that…. it is only a bonus competition for finishing fourth in the domestic league. It is the domestic achievement that the players, staff and fans of Everton have to proud of –finishing fourth is no easy task in what is deemed the hardest league in Europe. Having little playing experience myself, it is difficult to comment upon the ‘way the match may turn out’, or to comment on head to head battles. I simply do not have enough expertise. But I can comment that Villareal (and possibly the rest of Europe) were over-estimated by Everton in the first leg and surely the respect and opinion of the players will die down in preparation of the second game. My opinion is that we will witness a more physical encounter in Spain that will allow for big Dunc’s aerial presence and Cahill’s occasional late midfield challenge. Yobo and Weir will be able to play the British game far more in Spain than they did at Goodison Park – Collina enjoys the physical battles and the scraps for the 50/50 balls. This game has all the hallmarks of a classic – lets hope that it goes in our favour and a few legends are born… All that is left ot say is...COME ON YOU BLUES!
  8. http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.a...nel=premiership Beneathus yet again - Martin Jol tells the world that he is keen on bringing Kuyt to spurs and....you guessed it.... Rafa the Robber (to his mates) jumps in and registers his interest. have the RS lost their scouts or something? Can they not find their own players? Thought Beneathus was supposed to be this amazing manager - with loads of contacts... so far the shite have signed spains no.2 goalie, a left winger with cruciate ligament damage - injured until Jan 06, a young midfielder that is headless (sissoko) and then rejects first option on Owen - what a manager he is!! Top quality!
  9. This is a result in itself - Collina likes the physical but fair game. we should have an easier time with him than that other moron. Anyway - lets just hope that the limited team can perform and get the result they deserve for the efforts from last year.
  10. Yes - it doesn't add up - there is something else and Stubbs has only told us what HE wants us to hear. As far as Liverpool goes - they show no support or remorse towards past players - where is your 'former players foundation' - what about Robbie Fowler - had massive problems and you turned your back. Phil Babb - long term injury - as soon as he was fit - BANG! sold. The fact is - illness clauses and critical illness waivers are common place in all industries, including football. It is just unfortunate that it has come out into the open now. But the clause itself is hardly a talking point - and certainly not a talking point for LFC fans - I GUARANTEE that there are players at Liverpool that have got or have had similar clauses for injuries that they have had. FOR EXAMPLE - ROB JONES - HE WENT TO HALF PAY and THEN QUARTER PAY DUE TO THE LENGTH OF HIS ILLNESS - WHAT A FCUKING CLUB YOU ARE! SUPPORT YOUR PLAYERS MY BIG FAT ARSE.
  11. I think that having watched liverpool on several occassions (mainly last year - obviously) - gerrard is making it a one man team. Observe his movement - he takes the ball off the right back, the wingers, the goalie and even the strikers. Gerrard has little faith in his team mates abilities and it shows - which is partly why Rafa was not bothered about him leaving. I still think that Liverpool lack the killer edge ( not that Everton have got it) Morientes is crap (which means that he will score against us) - Cisse is rubbish when he has to think or has time on the ball - when he has to 'instinctively' play - he is very good - but the norm performance from him is average at best. I certainly think that this year LFC will have a big hard struggle for 4th - Tottenham are looking strong and I think that you guys will struggle against us, bolton and the top three.
  12. Droobie - good post, my thoughts exactly Everyone who doubts the club should read through this: http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/...1553873,00.html and see why the clause was there and why it needed to be there now.
  13. No, the club can not get insurance (as can any company) on employees who have had a critical illness. If you have a life insurance/assurance policy - please take the time to read about critical illness - you only get one shot at it and THAT'S IT. stubbsy certainly, as an individual, will not be able to insure himself or even get life insurance for his family. Its cruel, granted, but you have to look at it as though it would be you paying out the cash. If you had to pay somebody for nothing it is a stomach wrenching experience - you are almost being ripped off. If you knew before hand that the person may have to be paid for nothing - you would think twice about hiring them. This is what has happened - many clubs/companies wouldn't have touched Stubbs with a barge pole - the risk is too high. In fact - if I remember correctly, Bolton had first refusal on stubbs and turnt it down - only for us to nip and get him - which was good at the time.
  14. His playing ability does not come into it (although that is what takes him to the negotiation table). the fact is - the clause is STANDARD for anybody that has had such an illness - and Stubbs had little problem signing for us originally - with the same clause. I guarantee that Stubbs CAN NOT get life insurance because of his medical history - so why are we not shouting at insurance companies and wanting their cheif executives to resign?
  15. Guys, Firstly, the clause was there from day one - this was an extension to the same contract (according to Sky sports news and Everton). Stubbs wanted the health clause removed and Everton said yes, provided he saw a specialist - Stubbs refused the visit to the quacks and signed for sunderland. Secondly, I work in Human Resources and let me tell you this:!:!:! It is absolutely standard to have a 're-occurring illness' clause in somebodies contract - especially short term contracts or consultancy type deals. Stubbs has not been handed a bad deal on this but has moved to try and get the EFC fans on board (Knowing that we are very loyal). You can say that the club has shown no loyalty towards Stubbs - but what if he had taken ill again (Obviously hope that he doesn't) - Efc are not in a position to carry a player through an ordeal such as cancer. Life is all about risks - thats a given, but where a risk can be minimised it has to be and somebody having such a grave, virtually unexplained illness such as Cancer is a risk - especially when relied upon and in the public eye. Please do not see this as unsympathetic - I wouldn't wish illness upon anybody. But this is life and IF Stubbs was totally confident in his health he would be able to sign a deal irrelevant of health clauses! Look at it logically - Everton are skint (be all accounts). We have a small squad and Stubbs has had a critical illness in past. He is also well into his 30's. We can't afford to pay wages for somebody not to play - and that was the case before this news and it still stands now - although seemingly harsh in the case of Stubbs. And ----- why did he not tell us at the time when he was released?
  16. Sky sports news this morning: Stubbs said that he wanted to stay but his contract extension included a clause relating to his cancer illness and he felt that he couldn't sign the deal and that no loyalty was shown by the club. the club hit back saying that the clause was in his originaly contract and it remained as Stubbs refused to see a specialist to give him the 'all clear' so that the clause could be removed. The clause - basically put, means that the club do not have to pay Stubbs should he become ill again. This seems harsh - but any company employs such a clause once somebody has had a long term illness that could come back. Its very standard and I bet you that YOUR company has similar policies. If he has belief that he is completley free for the foreseeable future, why did he not go and see the specialist? If stubbs was confident of his health, why would he not sign the deal even with the clause in place? Its all very odd and I think that Stubbs has just gone and shot himself in the foot. ANy thoughts?
  17. Some good points there Xavier. But I do want to comment. Firstly - Newcastle - spot on, hope they do even worse than 8th - I hate them. Liverpool - although they will perform well, I think that they lack something (like so many other teams) up front - and it shows.Only two weeks in and you have played two teams reduced to 10 men and not been able to capitalise on the good fortune. Infact, other than gerrard and set pieces, there isn't much going on up front. It has to be a concern to benitez. why he hasnt bought owen is a mystery - none of this 'he doesnt fit in the playing style' crap - owen has proved that he can fit in any style of play - liverpool, europe, england and now real madrid - all playing different styles of football. seems senseless - morientes is a waste of time. Everton - okay, as a fan i will take 5th all day. However the original 5 yr plan sees the club in a mid table position this year - the plan was skewed by a fantastic season lasst year but i feel that dm's plan is still valid and must continue - building a club takes time and the fans have to stay real - ew could do as well as last year, but i would happily take a regular uefa cup place for the next seasons. Man utd - could, with discipline, win the league. both chelsea and arsenal are lacking the killer edge (drogba's goal was embarrasing today). to go down: west brom sunderland portsmouth near miss: wigan, west ham, blackburn and fulham.
  18. Not that its nice to be injured badly, but Pistones knee twist could be a blessing in disguise. With Neville showing why Utd played him at left back for years (and won trophies with him) and the midfield shaping up well with osman and arteta - we look excellent. Moyes has an extremely limited squad - its so stretched that he can't play 4-5-1. If bent makes wednesday night - then he will have to go 4-4-2 with neville at left back - and that can only be a good thing! Villareal - - here we come...
  19. Yeah - but who listens to an armchair gobshite?
  20. What do you reckon the score will be against Bolton away? Skysports have predicted 2-1 (Bolton win -because they are stronger in midfield??!!) My prediction is 1-1 draw, something keeps me from being too positive about this game. What is you prediction....?
  21. viduka for me would be a fair signing - he is lazy (remember Cottee?!?!) - this means that he will want good service to score goals and will 'goal-hang' alot. Cahill and Arteta are desperate to have a player up front that just wants it to feet and then turns and shoots because he cant be arsed running too far!!! Could be good - Knock down from dig bunc or sick-note straight to viduka's feet?! Owen - forget that, its never gonna happen -EVER
  22. I totally agree but the lack of movement in the transfer market is worrying me. I want to finish top 6 this year but i think that we need a striker and a left sided player. there must be a plyer in the championship that is a better left-back than pistone or a better left winger than Kilbane - surely there must be! If we were looking around £7m for Baros then surely Moyes has this amount of funds still available in the coffers. If so - now is the time to use it and sign a goalscorer - even if it is only 10 goals - its better than an striker did last year for us. Pay £2m for a left back from the championship and £5m for a goalscorer - away we go - come on Moyesy, there HAS got to be someone your interested in.
  23. I hate being negative about the club I love - - but what is going on... I log onto Skysports.com today and the headline news is that Newcastle (Spit) have agreed terms with a young Deportivo striker, tipped to be a sensation. What is Moyes et al doing?!?! Why are we not signing these types of players - if Souness can scout in spain etc. why can't we - Why can't we do what the skunks did to us and pinch every player that they go in for?!?! This is driving me crazy! We need a striker and a good left sided player - surely Moyes realises this - but why is nothing being done?!
