  1. I don't know if I'm just being dozey but the whole thing seems odd to me, theres all these events and the only time I hear anything about them is as they're happening or after they've finished. At the moment my opinion is the capital of culture is anti scouse, the only scousers they actually want spotted around the events are the token school kids who play a part in everything and the well spoken ones reading a script who they shove in for interviews etc! Cynical? I don't know but I don't feel part of Liverpool08 that's for sure.
  2. Love it I'm the lone blue in a red office and they're all talking Sheikhs & Russin oil money (under their breath of course). I'm just sitting here grinning at the speed they've turned on their new owners blame blame blame anyone they can. Maybe the cock heads should go the match and actually support their team before they start complaining about everything else. I hope the club implodes with silly bickering & back stabbing, it's great to watch
  3. Knowing the current passport procedure dont you think it wouls have been a good idea to fill your own form out & know the answers to obvious questions? Silly boy I hope they drag you out of bed in a morning raid an deport your ass
  4. The potential alone of having a stadium right on the city centre outskirts excites me so much I can't understand the people questioning it. Yes it's unproven, yes it will cost more but it's worth it we could maximise our earning potential and coap with the increased costs. The difference will be in the stature of Everton FC on the world stage, we can be that team from outside Liverpool or we can be in your face a major part of Liverpool city centre. I want the best and whats on offer at Kirkby is not the best its settling for second rate, out of town, retail park development when one of the best citys in the world grows better just down the road.
  5. My opinion on the loop is if the stadium can fit it's go go go! The cost of building will be more, much more but realistically it's worth it IMO.
  6. For the record I rate & like Ossie as a player and have defended him on here and in grounds accross the country on many occasions. He is a good addition to the squad as long as Moyes understands players of his ability should be the base line for ability within the squad not the upper end of the scale. As for Hibbo he also has been a fave' of mine in the past (I like the home grown lads who play with heart) also but since he got that bug he's never been the same. Besides I think he would be one of those players who should we continue our spending & squad building will fall below the standards required even at full strength.
  7. Go and play with the kids you'll get no argument from me lad.
  8. These are the one's who scare me the most Bill even after the vote and the "small additional debt" changed to a 150million cost at planning stage, the "6000 parking spaces" turned into 1000 and the "no plan B" turned out to be a blatent lie, there are loads of options the club just didnt bother looking into them. Trusting that is like crossing the road wearing a blind fold.
  9. Fair enough. As a side point would you like to share with us Evertons 'proper proposal' because as far as I can see they have offered up about as much detail as LCC so far and had the cheek to ask us to vote on it!
  10. I'v never seen you offer any kind of informed argument on the stadium issue you just seem to like winding people up. Have you got any clue what your talking about????
  11. The move is wrong and using timescale and cost as an argument for stumping for second best is also wrong. This is our ground move and at the moment we are bottom of the list of people who benifit. Tesco corner the north Liverpool Market Knowsley get Kirkby city centre regenerated Whatever we can get out of this deal will be eclipsed by the earning potential of a city centre (or there abouts) stadium! Anyone who thinks Kirkby is the right option needs to stop looking in the short term and start looking to the future. Long term slow steady development is the key in football.
  12. They have thats why we shouldnt. We are in a power situation here where both councils now want our business and if we pulled our heads out of the sand we could broker a great deal for ourselves by playing the 2 against eachother.
  13. Yeah I agree with that they're in it for the money. So What?? My point we are also in this for the money and wherever you stand on this argument being closer to the city centre of a major city under massive regeneration has a massivly increased earning potential. Dont forget Tesco & Knowsley are also in this for the money infact everyone is, the only thing that should interest Everton is which is the best move for long term increased revenue and the answer to that will always be as close to Liverpool City centre we can get!
  14. Not a bad thing for the club to have them on the books but it does scare me a little that Moes sees them as first teamers long term.
  15. So liverpool city council are what? Trying to get us to stay at Goodison? I'm not following your point.
  16. LCC are trying to scupper our ground move? For what reason? why would it be benificial for them to do that? LCC have woken up and are trying to help plus keep Evertons business. Everton should be playing the game and matching the 2 councils & tesco against eachother to grind out the very best deal for the club, now that would be how a proper business man would play out this powerful situation they have found themselves in!
  17. Thats exactly what is happening, just like Everton used LCC's initial negativity to sway the balance with their propeganda campaign. Your point being?? Fact is we can easily make more money the closer to the city centre we are and the core reason for the move is to make more money. If you dont believe me then read the thread about Goodison naming rights as we are looking at a 40mil over 10 years and I believe KW himself quoted 20mil for 5 years at Kirkby. That says it all realy, we can command as much money for naming rights on crumbling Goodison as we are going to be able to command on a brand new stadium. That is all about location!!
  18. I'm not arsed, make the money it's still Goodison behind the sign
  19. Single lifes the future boys I'v recently hit the 2 years single mark an its been the best 2 years of my adult life Women = complications Stick to random sex an chillin with the boys!!
  20. Barry Horne has definatly captained Everton I'v been there to see it!
  21. I think your misunderstanding what your role as a 'fan' should be. You should be asking the club to disprove every negative rumour not asking the people who are questioning to prove their sources, it doesnt matter if the fans claim we can or can't use the car park what does matter is if we can't use the car park and the club are hiding that fact to ease public opionion. For your information (and no I dont have a link) the Kirkby residents were reassured that the whole of Kirkby would become a permit parking scheme and all match goers would be expected to use public transport or edge of town park & walk schemes which knowing Kirkby like I do will mean a minimum 1/2 hrs walk. Given that the train station working to a maximum in Kirkby can only coap with 6000 passangers per hour and the officiall club car park will no doubt be mostly staff and corporate than it doesnt look good. This is all of course unconfirmed, not because the questions havent been asked or because Knowsley are withholding information but because the club refuse to confirm or deny most questions put to them. Why are you so for believing the club when they repeatedly refuse to answer the questions put before them??
  22. The thing that realy scares me about the stadium design is comprimises are always made as the costs inevitably increase so with the very basic first impressions what can we expect when the reality of meeting budget kicks in??
