  7. It's on 365 too, http://www.football365.com/transfer-gossip/9074827/Some-Sunday-Gossip I'm not nervous at all I think the kid knows Moyes never believed in him and the squad is too saturated with superstars at City. However as a note to all young gifted footballers moving to these clubs should be done with great caution the list is endless of players who have made big money moves at an early age and disappeared. There's Rodwell recently on the cusp of the England squad and now with his arse cheeks firmly imprinted on a seat in the dug out while a young Evertonian is the talk of the England midfield! The other one off the top of my head that really stands out is Shaun Wright Phillips he ruined his career moving to Chelsea. I have faith in young Ross though I hope the lad signs up and becomes a part of Everton's rich history, talked about for generations if he does!
  8. Moyes is known for running his players into the ground, I loved how fit we were under him compared to previous managers don't get me wrong but some players have to be treated with kid gloves. It's like trying to get Ledley King to run a few miles every day he would never play.
  9. True or not this won't go away it'll be like the 'baby's not yours' situation!
  10. Cheers for the Mac update MikeO he was a great guy Mac with his love of, how was it he used to put it.... 'red wine and big breasted women'. See not such a GoldfishMemory afterall!
  11. I wish I was there but I'm too young, Watched my first game the day before my 9th birthday 29th September 1990, we beat Southampton 3-0 with 2 goals from Cottee and I think Ebbrell got the other. Sat in the Upper Bullens and looked longingly at the surge of bodies behind Southall's goal and wished I could be in the middle of the immense noise. That was me sold on the Gwladys and once I'd saved up enough pennies that was where my first season ticket was start of the 95/96 season. So sad I never got to stand on the Gwladys before they put the seats in or play out in the boys pen but money was tight in my house back then and I had to work for a local Ice cream man to be able to buy my first season ticket. Never looked back though there's been 2 or 3 seasons since 95/96 where I haven't been standing on the Gwladys starting songs, standing up most of the game and jumping around like a mentalist every time the ball hit the back of the net :jump for joy: A little off topic with my trip down memory lane I know but I do wish I'd seen the inside of the boys pen!
  12. I'm half way through season 4 of the Sopranos box set I never watched on TV so it's all new to me I'm loving it.
  13. What happened to the arcade? Come to think of it what happened to Mac the self styled king of the arcade?
  14. I'm reading 'The chimp paradox' it's life changing! Anyone had a read?
  15. If you won it an you don't want it then stop being a money grabber and give it to a charity to auction off!
  16. I like that but I love slating the opposition especially if they're in the pub with us! Having said that I always give credit where credits due also.
  17. It's been years blueboy122 think I was last a regular around 2008. I got made redundant from my office job at the time and had a few years on the missing list from life in general. Then I started working in none office based jobs for the past few and didn't really spend much time online. Just very recently moved to Singapore and again I'm finding working in an office means I've more time to piss around on the net plus I feel out of touch with my beloved Everton so I thought get back in the mix on TT and see whose still about. Nice to see the place still has it's long standing members just a pity about the time difference no more epic Romey v Goldy live arguments :shaking fist: On a side point anyone fill me in or point me in the direction of a thread about the Rhys Jones collection? How did it all pan out and are the kids still using the cup we bought? I think that was my last action as a regular TT member!
  18. Its fun in that triangle you know Mike the shite are currently propping up the Conference North and have re-signed Grobbelaar in goal Cheers Bill the voice of reason still keeping the ship trim.
  19. What do you do before the game? Where do you sit & why? What do you do at half time? Do you ever leave early? What do you do after the game? Any rituals / superstitions? I'm on the other side of the world now but this was me before I legged it. County cafe for a breky then into the Brick to wash it down with a few pints. First piss of the day was my indicator to cross over to the William Hill put my change on whatever dog race was running next, always T2 to win for 2 reasons it's blue and I was on my way the toilet . Then first goalscorer / score bet and a 8 team accumulator before a few more pints in the Brick. Up to the ground shortly before kick off and a warm pint of Chang if time allowed it. Have always sat and always will at the back of the Gwladys somewhere between the 2 middle posts and as far back as I can get while still seeing the whole pitch. I grew up this way and football looks weird to me watching from the sidelines I just plain don't like it. Also the atmosphere up there is amazing I have so many memories of singing until I lost my voice the place is special to me. Half time always starts early to miss the crush and these days there's screens anyway so you don't miss any action. Usually 2 pints and a lil munch I'd have 3 but I've only got 2 hands. Hopefully a lil sing song I used to love the Gwladys downstairs at half time louder than upstairs most weeks. The game's not over until you clapped the boys off in my opinion so win loose or draw and I'm there putting my hands together as the players walk down the tunnel. Then straight back the Brick until someone suggests somewhere with a few more females and the migration of pissed up Evertonians begins up or down county road either way you know you still going to be out closing time so it's probably best to stick some more food in your belly to soak up all the ale. Oh an if it's been a lucky day collect those bets and buy the obligatory winners round for the boys! No Superstitions for me I can't influence the game I'm just there to watch it and have a laugh with the boys.
  20. This is the time when Everton under Moyes would get turned over, It will show the true level of our new manager if he can get the players to carry on their momentum after the last 4 games and bring us home into the new year with a string of wins. There's no doubt we have the momentum and the style to play all our upcoming opponents off the park I just hope we overcome the first hurdle against Fulham. I'm saying 3-0 it's time we got back to that solid rear line that doesn't concede. 5.5 hours without leaking a goal before the derby lets get back to that as a priority blues and it would be nice to see Lukaku back on the score sheet can't be the midfield doing all the work. Little appearance from Jelavic to bang in the last and get him firing again would be good too that boy was a sniper when he first came, what bloody happened?? Kick off time in Singapore 11:00 pm good job it's a Saturday means I can get a lil bit tipsy on 8 quid pints!
  21. Loving that this is still going and I can stick my name in it after so much time
