  1. Sterling is a different case though. That price was artificially inflated by the Shite. Sterling would be 20M max for me. City are stupid enough to have paid the premium that also includes the QPR sell on. I find it difficult to understand how we would pay 7M for Evans in his last contract year when Spurs were looking for 6M for Lennon. From what I'm reading they now value Lennon at 9M - madness. I'll defer to Martinez on this one. I would just really prefer us not to buy him at all.
  2. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3164243/Everton-close-7million-Manchester-United-defender-Jonny-Evans.html 7M seems like we are paying an absolute premium. The only plus point I have on this is that he will fit in with the dressing room etc but I really hope Jags and Stones don't get injured. Will be very happy to be proved wrong on this but not the signing I was hoping for.
  3. I read an article yesterday that was concerning. I can't find the specific link but Martinez was talking about how he can't prevent anyone leaving if they really want to. At the end of the article there were a few lines from Martinez commenting about Garbutt's situation and he was saying that while he wants him to stay that he is prepared for him to leave and that we'll got compensation.
  4. Lennon. Lukaku, McCarthy and Alcaraz but Lennon just shaded it of me.
  5. We are a complete shambles. I'm lost for words.
  6. Definitely resigned to looking at how other results affect us now. With the current scores as is we've dropped a place and it really isn't looking great. The only positive I can draw is that we have the best goal difference out of all the sides down there.
  7. I think it's two different playing styles, not so much ours but due to the competition. Premier League we were worked out long ago, much less time on the ball etc. In Europe we're also a bit of an unknown quantity and having more time on the ball, not been closed down further up the field means that we have more time to make the smart decisions.
  8. Agree with everything above, lets hope Arsenal suddenly forget how to play football.
  9. Did someone nick RM's brown shoes before the press conference. Certainly looks like the pressure is starting to get to him. If I was Joel hearing that I'd probably end up smashing something in frustration.
  10. I wouldn't be so sure, the key quote from Martinez is “I don’t see Tim as directly responsible of the draw," Based on the #1 rule of management not to criticize players in public I take the above comment to be as close as you can get. It'll be a massive call from Martinez to back Howard on Thursday and Sunday.
  11. Just re-watched the presents presented to Leciester, it gets worse with each viewing. Howard should definitely be dropped for the rest of the season.
  12. Howard can fuck right off after this performance. All over the place, how he walked straight back into the team I'll never understand.
  13. After what happened with Mirallas a few weeks back imagine the coverage if Mario had missed.
  14. I don't know what to say to that, I'd normally swear very loudly but I'm watching in the office.
  15. If De Gea leaves for Madrid then I would fully expect Lloris to be heading to Man U.
  16. I can make a guess at the middle one - Assistant Manager - Graeme Jones but the others are lost on me.
  17. Can only assume he was given the ok by the club to do the interview, if not he should get a bollocking. If he was then don't allow them to do any more interviews until the team is playing better. While I'm not enthralled by his comments I'd assume something got lost/added in the translation. It's hard to take it too seriously when he's been crap as he has. Response from Bobby will likely be along the lines of "what I saw was an incredible desire to improve"
  18. A clever, one eyed arrogant twat I remember a time (and I'm sure he didn't mean it) where he said 'maybe, I'll manage Everton' - never a chance of that happening but I would like to see Mourinho manage a team without the assistance of money, build something without the millions. Arrogant twat he may be but the man gets results and I would take him. Different clubs, very different fans to each other. He's created that siege mentality that will grind out the title for them. Suarez and RS fans I couldn't understand. He was a disgrace but they loved him because he was scoring goals for them. No matter how many goals he scored I would have wanted him kicked out the club after his first major indiscretion. Success or the potential of success changes viewpoints. If we were guaranteed titles, CL etc but had a twat of a manager would u take it? I would. RM isn't a twat and I believe he will bring success to our club so in our case we don't have to worry about that.
  19. Agreed on this, I'm sure he's sitting in his office laughing about what he is getting away with. Very calculated, at the same time diverts the attention on to himself alleviating some of the pressure on his team. The photo is petty shocking in terms of the charge. It's actually embarrassing.
  20. Just reading about the charge for both clubs, that really is laughable. Just watched Mourinho's press interview afterwards, I do like him but in this instance he's acting like a total twat.

I've been "silent" for a long time but been keeping up with the conversation on this forum. I've had a terrible week dealing with a flood in my apartment and useless building manager who apparently doesn't give a shit. Tomorrow I'll be cheering the lads on and unleashing much anger and frustration at the tv. Hopefully tomorrow will go some way to making up for it, ripping them to shreds is requested. Hopefully the boys can deliver.
