I'd be a bit gutted to see him go to Marseille, not that YouTube is a great avenue for evaluating a player but at the release clause I think he'd be worth a punt on. If it's a case of him and another but Lukaku at 20M I'd rather we spent the money on a couple of players with potential.

An extension and pay rise would seem justified, double pay though seems strange. Roberto also mentioned the same will be happening with Barkley. There was a post a little while back about how this falls in line with how RM operates, a number of extensions makes the player feel loved and rewarded but also keeps them on longer contracts in case someone decides they want to bid.

Think Van Gaal will end up being a terrible appointment for United, they may well have 200M to spend but as shown by Spurs those players brought in will need time to gel. The only time I can see Stones moving on will be when Bobby moves on to another club. I could see Bobby coming back for him straight away.

There was a short discussion about the price we paid for Stones. You have to pay what the player is worth now rather than potential. If that was the case with Stones then we would have paid much higher. 20M for Lukaku is inflated due to the potential. Up to 15M with adds on works. Anything above that and Chelsea get an early christmas present.

His first game back playing at Goodison will be something special.

I read somewhere the other day that Bobby has a 3.5M release clause. Never heard a manager having that type of clause in his contract before and it may be a load of bollocks. If it is true though that needs to be gone in any new contract.
