Good first half, McGeady MotM so far
We just need to get that first goal because Im worried about how fragile are new found confidence might be
Agree. Good, not quite excellent play from our boys. Effort is definitely there on short rest.
-
Naismith even runs off the pitch at break. Never stops, or so it seems.
-
Brilliant play guys.
I don't think Lukaku is playing bad at all, just hasn't had too much to work with yet.
Naisy and Mcgeady the bright sparks of this half.
Agree.
-
Naismith is everywhere. Good cross Lukaku to Naismith. N to McGeady, wide. Possible goal there, not quite.
-
Naismith hustle earns Everton a corner. Stones header caught, foul on Stones anyway.
-
Sloppy, sloppy giveaway by Barry. McGeady has to take a yellow to stop the ball.
-
Lukaku blows opportunity with offside.
-
McGeady into box to Lukaku, who loses control.
-
-
Repeat, end-to-end. Both sides will be energized, yet frustrated at poor passes, Everton more missed opportunities than WHam. Close shot by Downing, just wide. He was given too much space.
-
Poor cross into box by Barry. Opportunity lost.
-
End-to-end stuff. Cross into Everton box, easy catch for Robles.
-
Excellent defense by Naismith near Everton box. Takes ball from Jenkinson.
-
Naismith tries third time to put Lukaku through. Nope, again.
-
So far Everton playing totally down right - McGeady's - side. Corner for Everton. McGeady shot, blocked.
-
Horrible giveaway by Stones. Everton escape. Horrible by Stones. Tried to dribble through 2 defenders right in front of 18-yard box
-
Everton more possession. Everton first corner. Too far by Baines. Another corner. Another not good by Baines. McGeady very very active.
-
Watching in US. Flowing game, up and down the pitch. Naismith tries twice to put Lukaku through, fails. McGesdy with a cross, decent, not good enough.
-
my mistake, should've paid more attention...
Easy to get confused. FauxNews expert's reference to religious police rampaging through London neglected to mention they're all footy-mad, and take time off during most matches.
-
careful though, Fox fans, it maybe difficult to see which team is which as everyone in London must wear burqas....
No, that's only in Birmingham. Well, true for London, but only on Fridays.
-
For US viewers, tomorrow's replay is on FoxSports 1, 2:45 EST. Probably pregame at 2/2:30. The match will also be shown again Thurs eve 8:00 EST on FoxSports 2.

Seems virtually no chance RM will drop Barry, who in any case has looked better last 2 matches. As including Barry is a given, I'd like to see this. I don't expect to see it, but I 'd like to see it.
Robles
Coleman Stones Barry Garbutt
Besic Baines
Lukaku Naismith Oviedo
Kone
Jagielka isn't totally healthy; let him heal. The Baines CM experiment still interests me. Lukaku is better moving forward with the ball at his feet. Don't like it that Kone hasn't played much lately. Naismith more effective than Barkley right now, more energy and, frankly, good football sense. Garbutt can both defend and press forward with pace and dribbling skill down the left side. Oviedo's energy is welcome.
Subs: Barkley for Besic and Mirallas for Oviedo on 55-60 minutes if we're behind.

No changes for either team. US audience has Kevin Keating as announcer. And Matt Jackson?
Good pass from Lukaku, Barkley loses control in box. Blecchhh.
