Good post but I got lost half way through it. That was due to my own stupidity, football these days is all about playing between the lines etc? What is that about? I think is difficult at the back at the minute, Kennys delivery was exceptional but he had Holgate as the right sides centre half who is relatively inexperienced who was playing with Zouma who has played two games for us and Digne on the left who is new to us and the premier league. I think we have to realise it’s going to take time. Mina looks the type to talk and will deffo help out with the set peices

If you fancy jumping the train head over to the Wirral. New Brighton is nice for a walk around. Pubs and bars and there is a fair. perch rock fort is worth a look but a bit run down. Otherwise port sunlight has a gallery and museum and is nice for a walk around. You can google all these. You can get to all these by bus/ train quite easily. Chester is lovely aswell, very historic due to one of the places the Romans first landed

I think it’s fair to say after ten games we will know about what can of season we will have. Silva has had no where near a settled first eleven. Just want us to go out and have a go at the big boys. I think brands was obviously approached a long time ago and I’m sure he was reviewing our squad long before he arrived. Coming from Dutch football he must have been astounded at the money Wayne was getting for what he was producing. He probably made it his first priority and I agree with it. I’m sure Wayne was gutted but I think the move will work out for him and his family. If it’s true about Sam he has already stated he knew months before he was sacked he was going so why would he say to Wayne that?

Just heard the news about this lad having to retire after getting the news he has motor neurones disease. Must be one of the worst illnesses you can imagine. Puts things into perspective about football. One day your fit and healthy and wealthy and the next you realise what is important. Good luck pal stay strong

I don’t know if he has the legs to play out wide and be backwards and forwards like Charley. I want to see him in the number 10 role. Maybe with Charley playing upfront and Lookman and Walcott either side. Gilfi and Gomes behind them

Whoever Moyes played up front he still would have gone away to the top 4 teams and set up to drawer. Beattie was never the striker to play up front on his own. We were really the first team in the prem to play one upfront. Now it is the norm. Beattie needed wingers to get to the byline and provide crosses so he could attack them. He was piss poor with his back to goal. Saha was quality he could have been at the top of the game if it wasn’t for injury. Aj and the yak were not the same players after their bad injuries
