we need to win this (and i think we will) but what we need the most is a really good performance. Not just a few good moments and a 1-0 score line. we really need to instil some confidence and belief in the squad. we need to attack attack attack. we have a relatively sloid back line who can cope with a few attacks, but they can be expected to surive if we simply sit back on a 1-0 lead. we need goals, we need passion, we need belife.

dissapointed doesn;t even start to describe how i feel. i hate the negative way that we play. beattie shouldn;t wear the shirt any more- hes given chances and does nothing. sell him and cut our loses. its pathetic that we rely on johnson so much. if he's not there we just dont seem confident enough to score. fernandes looked good though

^^^^ i would agree with that, beckham is not the type of player to kick up a fuss with being a bench player. Think he'd be greatful to eve get a call-up to be honest. and as you say he can make an impact with one play. nothing ventured nothing gained.

i was just saying that he'd be good as a substitute. start with lennon and bring becks on later instead of someone like swp. I don't think he should be starting line up, but i do think he should be in the squad.

as long as its not a tour of anfield then its worth it. you might have an evil kopite teacher who wants to show the evertonian student (i was going to say big club there but that sounds profoundly wrong and little peadoish) anfield.

i reckon if both are given a chance they could perfom very well. I was at both the palace game and westham game when vaughnie scored and think he could become a real assit. when he scored his fisrt (against palace) it was class because its the first (and only) time i have seen Big Dunc trying to calm someone down, vaughnie will wear the shirt with pride when given the chance. just a shame about his injureis.

if i could get a signature with Bug Dunc in (preferably him acting mental) then that would be class. everyone seems to have awseome signatures and all i can muster is bit of text. cheers lads

but if he had one good season with us he'd probably get ideas above his station again and try tomove to a "big" club again (like he did a blackburn)... though don't know who'd take him now. do you not think that him and johnson are a little similar in the way they play?

what would you do if he attacked some like lescott with a golf club though? think hes too much of a disruptive influence... though saying that beattie has no type of influence at all (other than influencing the sale of pies in liverpool). Bellamy is not the type of player i would want at everton, he has class but no discipline.

hasn;t gone through yet i don't think. only rumours so far but vic and vaughn could be a good partenrship if tried in the prem. they have played together alot for reserves so know how to play with each other. and they complete eachh other, vic has streghnt vaughn has pace. would be nice if they could get a runout together at some point,. though i cant see it happening for a very long time.

just thought that its worth actually giving vdm a few games, im not the biggest fan of osman (i like him but don't think he brilliant), and i put vdm in my team because we dont have anyone who will really run down the right wing. when vdm has played he has at least tried to get some movement down the wings. and as for neville, he has been a bit innconsitent of late. gave fernandes he shoat before him. think that some competition for nevilles place may make him concentrate more and complete some paces for a change.

What do people think? I have seen him play in all 3 of his last performaces, 1st game class, 2nd game quite (though everyone in the game was substandard, he was sent off but it wasnt a sending off offence for me) and his performace in the champ league last night was really good. Personally i think that england are underperforming and could use beckham back in the team. Think he could make a very good sub. start with lennon and the replace him with beckham. think he'd make more of an impact off the bench than someone like Shaun wright (only my dad thinks im brilliant) phillips. Im not saying he should be starting line-up but not to include him in the team at all seems silly, Maclarren just wants to impose his own stamp on the team, and becasue beckham was so synonamous with Sven he is the obvious target. It just remains to be seen if mcclarren can admit he may have made a mistake with leaving out beckham., Dont get me wrong im not the biggest beckham fan in the world but think the way england is going we can't afford to not have him in the squad
