  1. i said in a game that counts, that was a friendly
  2. Last decent team we acctually properly beat in a proper game (i.e not freindley) was Holand, and that was nine years ago. as england fans we delude ourselves into thinking we have a divine right to win,
  3. ^^^ it does get annoying when we play the same squad every game, everyfan in the world knows we can't play lamps and gerrard in the same squad yet we still try, its stupid. wish we had a mor dynamic manager, mcclarren is just mind numbling unispiring. the tony blair of football, thinks that aslong as he keeps smiling then noone will notice that he hasn't got a clue. the main problem we have is, and for a very long time has been, the left wing. our only decent left winger is stewart downing. and hes not the best. and Joe cole is good but he's not a lfet winger as he has a crap left foot. i get sick of him playing like a crab and always moving in sideways. if only giggs had chosen england!!!
  4. surprised you dont really care about the national team anymore, i agree that we dont play to our strenghts and we pick the big name players over possibly the better positional players. but i think you should stick with your national team thick and thin, otherwise you become a glory hunter. i think with lampards play in the prem at the moment he deserves a place in the squad, however his displays for the national team do not deserve him a place in the starting line up. wouldn't you love to see him on the bench? he could be a substitue that could make a difference! which is the main thing that is the problem with england managemtn, they are affraid to have "big" players on the bench, when in fact that could really improve the team as we don't ever really have anyone who can come on and change a game. what did someone like downing do when he came on the in the world cup? Nothing! anyway im rambelling now. but you should always fully support the national team. You choose your club not your country
  5. thats a shame, thought he might have been decent. anyone actually seen him play?
  6. does anyone know wheter or not he has signed a new contract at benfica, as it had been said that he signed a contract extension untill 2011, then a report came out saying that he hadn't signed an extension. anyone know the real deal here?
  7. Anyone know how he has been playing for us, i know we signed him in the summer from oldham but i havn't heard anything about him. he been playing well and is he going to push for first team anytime soon?
  8. this is the starting line up ---------------Foster----------------- G Neville Ferdinand Woodgate Pip SWP Carrick Lampard Gerrard -----------Dyer------------------ ------------Crouch------------- what are peoples thoughts, will be ionteresting to see how foster plays, i dont like robinson so will be good to see him in action for england
  9. the statement from pompey said that they didn't pay a fee, which is one reason why they are in trouble... or somehting... the whole thing is a little confusing
  10. Was reading the report about pompey's signing of fernandes and how they are in trouble about it, and the reason we have got him without any problems is that we have paid a loan fee. does anyone know anything about this. how much it is or whether we have any pre-arranged price for him if we want to sign him? any ideas
  11. I have finished my degree now but in my final year when i was doing my Disertation i spent too much time "planning" (it was an essay about tim burton and i kept watching batman, beatlejuice and nightmare before christmas pretending that it was research) Though left my self no time to write it. Started on a wednessday afternoon worked all through the night and the next day then went out the next night to a club for my girlfriends birthday and then came back from the club and finished it off while pissed. Bare in mind i didn't sleep at all in between. needless to say it was shit and i got a crap grade. had fun though
  12. fair play... you can never beat a bit of the modfather in his prime
  13. I agree with the CB thing. Think lescott would be ace in this role when he is more stable in the team. I think Yobo would be good as well in the vice-role, he hasn't missed a single minute of Prem football this season has he? but as for motivation it should go to cahill, dont know how much yobo can get the team going? and i don't think arteta would be a good VC, don;t know why just don't think he is the type of personality that would relish the captins role.
  14. thats insane!!! hope him and his family are alright!
  15. probably be stubbs. i'd give it to cahill, and in a few years give it to lescott.
  16. Neville is going to be handed the captains armband officially on a permanant basis after the departure of wier. No real suprises there then http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...p;channel=&
  17. should be football manager/ champ manager. the most addictive game ever. i have lost months of my life to this game..... i..... just...can't.....stop.....playing
  18. he annoys me, class player, bags of talent, bad attitude and he revels in being booed by opposing fans. the taunts only seem to make him better. smarmy bastard
  19. i was at the pub yesterday and loads of man u fans were signing roney rooney rooney to the tune. made me like the song a little bit less
  20. ^^^^ Not yet. Their new song "ruby" is really good though. very catchy but not as poppy as their earlier stuff
