you would think after al the trouble to get him here we would use him, and he has been training with the team hasn't he? or was that an uncomfirmed rumour? i wonder if there is any stupid clauses in his contract like at pompey (the play three games and we have to sign him for a set price) if i was moyes i would play him, why not throw him in the deep end? i think a midfield of VDM Fernandes Cahill Arteta would be very good, fernandes makes up for what we have been lacking. im just thinking of what i would do if we did the double over the kopite! imagine it.....

im intersested too see how da silva is going to turn out, if he is a defensive player then that is what we need, we have enough attacking options (as long as we don't get injuries). Hopefully both him and fernades can add a bit of stability in the midfield, it gets difficult to amount attacks when players like cahill have to keep going back to defend all the time. If Fernandes can live up to this "next makele" tag then he could be really good for us, even though i hate labeling players like that, it never works out. i remeber when we signed ibrahim bakayoko (spelling?) and he was labelled the frnch micheal owen, what a joke that was

its a really hard game to call, Liverpool have to loose eventually, but Gerrard is perfoming at his best at the moment, and Kuyts goal in the week as awesome. (though i hate to admit it) i originaly thought we would loose quite heavilly but now im going to go for a high scoring draw. We really have to start picking up points if we want to stay in european contention, and the games after the shite are all really important. I think we have blackburn (h), watford (h) , sheff utd (a)... i may be wrong about this.... but we HAVE to take 9 points in these games. the blackburn one is harader but we should beat them at home (get revenge for the cup). we have already dropped alot of silly points this season and we need to start killing games off

i would like to think moyes would put some faith in our youth players. irvine is always going on about how good they are. still abit annoyed that hughes has gone. oh well, cest la vie! one thing with moyes is though he may sell players that we can't afford to loose at least he isn't selling our best players, (i know he sold rooney but that was inevitable and good money), at least we havn't lost our cahills or arteta's. and technically its 4 out 2 in, with de silva finally arriving. i know he is a midfielder but where is his mid position?

i don;t see the point of us "enquiring" for Barton, we should have put a firm bid on the table. We knew he had a 5.5m clause, at least put a bid in. its all well and good sniffing around a player but if we don't actually bid for them then we wont get them. Rooney said we wanted to stay until Man Utd put a bid in for him. of course Barton will say he wants to stay, if he said we wanted to leave (like he did before) he'd have the fans on hios back.

i thought it would be worth a shout to return to Goodison when i heard he was available. I always rated him. But i suppose i don't really know what he's like now. Sounds as if he's been pretty injury prone and thats the last thing we need.

is anyone else getting very woried about this whole situation. We are supposed to be pushing for europe. and almost all the teasm around us have already bolstered their squauds. Spurs, Blackburn, Man City, Fulham, Middlesbough. I Know were 7th but were only 5 points off 13th place. Its all getting a bit much

Has just signed for Man City. It gonna be intersting to see how good he is now, i quite liked him when he played for us. I was shoked when i found out he was still on 27. thought he was much older. but thats probably just becasue he's been off our radars for awhile

Just to clear this up me suggesting Dunc was a joke, Smith would be a good loan signing, hes commited at least, and if need be he can be played in midfield. I also think Collins John would be a good loan signing

Im not saying i want big dunc back im just saying he'd be better than cole, at least with him getting sent off everytime he played we'd have some entertainment. Goodison hasn't been the same without duncs flailing elbows and the odd strangulation...
