  1. I'd second that, if all we can muster is andy cole then god help us! Would rather have big dunc back for 6 months than have cole here.
  2. id take luque, weren't we in for him when newcastle signed him. wouldn't be surprised. There are two certanties in the footballing world, if we want to sign a player Newcastle will get him. If we don;t want one of our players anymore Fulham will get him
  3. I just don't like Andy Cole anymore, its all a matter of opinion of course but i just don't think he's the type f player we need. If i had the choice of having im the squad or not having him at all i simply wpuldn't have him. He's too slow and more interested in picking up his py packet than putting in strong performances. He's gready and we should steer clear. I don't want to go back to the days of Smith were we keep on signing has-beens, Gazza, Ginola and Hughes anyone?
  4. well we do have some money! there is money from the killer deal and davies sale
  5. NOOOOOOOO To Andy Cole, NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Signing an old stirker is just as much risk as playing a young and inexperienced one, give victor and young james the nod ahead of cole everyday of the week even if we had him in the squad. Going for cole would be a step in the wrong direction. NO
  6. we all know that we have money, i reckon that were holding onto it to take out loan signings into full signings. (Howard and if it ever goes through and hes any good Fernandes) Still think that we should have signed a left footed player, thought it was stupid getting shot off killer on deadline day with no obvious left footed replacements. I really thought we would have replaced him by now. But i guess im just being stupidly hopeful. WHEN WILL I LEARN
  7. We should have the money to spend, and also if Man Utd win the league don;t we get more money becasue of some clause. I wouldn't sell Osman, think he's a good squad player. Reckon we should get shot of Pistone and Wright though. And sell Mcfaddenpants AFTER we have signed a new striker.. AFTER being the very important word in that sentance.
  8. i hope so, but knowing moyes i would say no. I would also like to see abit more of Vivardson. i have always liked the look of him and it was good to see him get a goal at the wekend. Thikn he will develop into a v. good player
  9. Ha, the original message from Everton Lad has obviously got us all excited, about 8 messages sprung up straight away
  10. thats interesting, (him not signing a new contract) i was woried about that. If he had just signed a extension then i couldn;t see him giving 100% for us as he has nothing to fight for or nothing to prove. He would already have along term contract at benfica and no real chance of a transfer to us so why would he fight for his place or play with a passion for the badge? hope he hasn't signed an extension and i really hope we get him now.
  11. and also its probably in the FA's interest to allow teams like Liverpool have their own way becasue their in Europe and that means more publicityfor english football, and more money for english football,. or more importantly more money for the FA.
  12. i agree, gives them a chance straight into the hearts of their fans. give victor a start. i thought he gave a very strong performance against chelski. and he's a slight unknown quantity, he hasn;t played that many games so people still don't know what to do with him. I rate him and hope his career goes from strenght to strength (as long as thats with us though!)
  13. this would be typical if they allow the shite to have maserano and not let us have fernandes, though i did just rear somewhere that Man utd may be trying to steal Mascerano from the shite becasue the hargreeaves deal wont go through.... as much as i hate man utd i would love this too happen, as mascerno is class and i don't like seeing class go to the shite.... i still can't believe that mascerano never got given a real chance at WHU... idiots
  14. Riquelme would be awesome but firstly we could never afford his wages and secondly he would never come to us even if we could. Though the thought of riqueleme in an everton shirt is very exciting if only...........
  15. we do play long ball alot more thn some other teams, especially teams around us. The only difference between the days of big dunc and nowdays with johnson is we now play it long for him to run onto it instead of long onto fergies head. this is why johnson spends most of his time by the corner flag.
  16. what would everyone else worst stadiums in England be? Personaly i would plump for Griffin Park (brentford) a real dive of a ground. No atmosphere, very unwelcoming. Also Filbert street was also horrible, as is the whole of leicster, sorry for anyone who lives their i just cant stand the place
  17. i think another GK would be a good signing, Turner looks good but im not convinced by ruddy (i know he's young, but watched him on loan at walsall and he looked very dodgy. Gordon could be a good signing, and get shot of teflon as quickk as possible. i do like howard though, but he needs longer arms
  18. i would like diop, hes got a good shot on him too. and when he scores commentars cant help shout out his full name, it has always amused me BOOOBA PAAAPPAA DIOOUPP!!! I would snap him up if we could get him, as well as a left foot he has one thing that many of our midfielders lack, a physical presence and genuine strenght. would be a good investment if we could get him
  19. i know west ham are slightly in the shit, but why the hell are they trying to sign a new striker when they already have Zamora, Ashton, Tevez, Cole, Harewood, Blanco, sheringham. and boa morte can be played up front. Thats 8 strikng options, i know that they aint scoring but maybe some consitancy in the squad would help... and darren bent isn' t a world changer.. if he cant get charlton out of trouble what makes WHU think he can get them out of trouble. and 18m! what! Football gone mad
  20. the thing is we do need a left sided player. especially seeing as our three left backs are all incerdibly injury prone, there has been many games this season when we havnt had any left footed players.. thats just stupid. i admit etherington isn't the best left sided midfielder we could get but there isn't many other options. Maybe jason Koumas (he can play on left side, nit sure if hes left footed though) any suggestions on a left sided player (not necesarily too sign in Jan but in the future.)
  21. its not ice but its true, and just think about some of the other big 80's clubs and be greatful that we are still in a relativley strong position, Nots Forest anyone? I think getting rid of moyes would be the worst thing we could do as i don't know anyone who could come into the job and perform better, and i hate the way the game has gone where teams go through managers like anything. I just wish that BK would stump up some cash to sign people when we actually need them. surely we have just shy of 6m (with the selling of Killer and Davies) also i imagine there is still a few quid from the rooney sale about. and we can propbably afford to spend this money now rather than waiting to invest in the future as the pay off for finishing positions in the prem will be so much higher next year. Surely we should invest in talent NOW before prices inflate again becasue everyone has more money. if nothing else there needs to be some sort of communication between the club and the fans. If we market ourselves as "the peoples club" then we should start acting like the Peoples club
  22. "Still think that Dm needs to bring in a midfielder to replace Davies" agree completley, we still have no naturally left footed midfielders, think etherington would be ace as he fits the bill. think we wouuld be good with beatie as he could get some balls onto his big fat head
  23. Would definatley be a waste of money, would be worth a loan signing for rest of season for a bit of back up but i wouldn't want to spend any money on him. Where do we stand when we get johnson and mcfaddenpants backs? in my books he would then be 6th in pecking order behind Johnson, BT Mcfaddenpants, Vaughn, and Anichibe.
  24. cant say im holding my breath for a good result, however with a decent signing things could change, but the chances of that happening are slim/ if aj was fit then we could have got a good draw, without it could be tricky. Though it also depends on what type of team benitez puts out, i was supriesed last time wiht him fielding fowler and crouch... though after a 3-0 drubbing their going to be after our blood. this one could get messy
