  1. its all just marketing isn't it very clever marketing!
  2. anyone read his explanation (its in the hot off the press bit) It seems that he minced his words slightly, he wasn;t trying to say we are a "small" team in an insulting way, just saying that we have different expectations. sort of clears things up anyone think we should let sleeping dogs lie?
  3. just posted this but it got deleted, don't know why. the argument is just benitez blowing smoke. the whole thing is a little silly and just shows he does'nt know too much about the "size" of certain clubs. we shouldn't be called a small club, if we are then surely teasm such as spurs (living in shadow of chelski/ arsenal) should be called small teams. the premiership is not made up of 4 big teams and 16 small ones.
  4. i must admit that one is very funny
  5. haha, how many time have i thought ill get up for motd in the morning! it never happens. the only way you can do it is too keep drinking and stay awake until it comes on!
  6. with players with pace like kuyt, bellend and pennant i thought he would be ripped apart like hypia and (a not fully fit) carragher were in the last derby. but he gave a real motm performance. the best performance he's given in an everton shirt for quite some time. id like to see more of the same. fair play stubbsy
  7. we HAVE to win this game to keep the pace with the euro hopefulls. i reckon we will win as well, Hibbert made a big difference at the weekend, allowed us some movement up the right. and hopefully fernandes will feature, looking forward to seeing how he is gonna perform for us. and have blackburn got derbyshire injured, he went of after 15mins at the weekend i think but don't know if hes gonna be out personally i cant see a repeat of the cup, we willbe out for blood in this game. and we should almost have a full strenght squad.... which will be nice
  8. i reckon with a bit of time anichbe and johnson will make a good partnership. reckon that young victor will hold the ball up well and allow johnson to do what he does best and use his pace rather than get stuck in the corner all game.
  9. according to the player moyes made a deadline day move for him but he turned it down. but ssn say we may move for him in the summer http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...#39;t+rush+back i know he used to be good, but he's 30 now and i can;t say i know how good he is anymore. just have to see how this one pans out
  10. so pleased with that result. Can't believe how well stubbs played. fair play lads
  11. looks good, as long as they dont notice us fielding 14 players we'll destroy them with this formation. but hey if fifa bend the rules for the shite why not for us!
  12. i reckon our best side is as follows wright Hibbert yobo stubbs naysmith osman carsley neville vdm beattie mcfaddenpants
  13. does anyone think rafa will field any of there new players at the weekend, they seem to have picked up a few but i don't really know much about any of them. anyone got any ideas?
  14. I reckon its gonna be a 2-2 draw, and thatts being optimistic. i reckon our line up will look like this. Howard Hibbert Yobo Lescott Valente Neville Osman Fernandes Arteta Cahill Beattie Subs; Wright, VDM, Vaughn, Anichibe, Stubbs
  15. really hope this guy can make an impact, he obviously has the talent lets see if he has the passion!
  16. fair enough. im not a huge fan, but each to their own. thought it was so funny was les reed compared Andy Reid to Puskas WHAT?!?!
  17. doriva... haha, he was a joke. its just reminded me of another poor manger player buying wise, Ian "fat eyes" dowie. what did he do pre-season with charlotn? bar bent i cant think of anyone in charltons squad i would want, it must be horrible to support them right now, a real uninspiring squad, just like ours 8ish years ago.
  18. could mean we play at Tesco Stadium, we have som business link with them that would be awful.. the Tesco Stadium, it would just sound cheap and tackey. i know it wont happen but would prefer a "real" name for the new ground not a corparate oe
  19. fair enough, but my point is that if they had invested the money more wisely imagine the squad they could have had. They should be top 6 every year with the money they have available, they have got a few good players and it wouldn't take much to fill the gaps in their squad. can't help feel that they could have improved their squad alot more with the mone they spent
  20. looks like a good site, id go for it. just hope we dont name it something stupid like austrias national stadium (Arnold Swarcheneger Stadium) Just imagine everton coming out on the SLY STALLONE STADIUM to the theme of Rocky every week =)
  21. and if you want to think about a manager who has made poor signings just look at mcclarren. He pissed money away. £8m on Maccarone who was probably not even worth £1m and then released on a free. also mendieta, many many many awful signings. at least Moyes doesn;t waste large amounts of money on shite (and i do realsie that middlesbourough have large amounts of money at their disposal but they have still spent and bought poorly)
  22. i was pleased about this, was impressed by mcclarren to come out and back his players. Its what you want from your national coach. fair play steve
  23. wenger is probably the best, but he has the whole "extreme scouting" thing going on. i think giles grimandi is their head scout now (anyone remember him) Though he does get criticised by arsenal fans for not signing experienced players. and id say that jeffers and reyes were both poor signings.
  24. fair enough moyes has made mistakes in the transfer window but name me a manger who has never made a bad signing. i cant think of any. Transfers are always a risk, moyes signings normally come good, his signings have done more good for the club than they have bad.
