Java, Saying its a hard one to answer, because never having been a professional sportsman(Still live in hope of wearing that No. 9 Jersey at Goodison ) my livelihood has never been related to what I do on the field. Pro sportspeople are mostly paid due to their performance or the performance of their team, I like to think that I am a good sport but being in their position I don't know what I would do
Cheers
Great post btw
It's a tough one to answer, considering how much money is involved. It's the ref & assistants job to make the decisions, which with all the camera's at each game, is bloody hard as every mistake is shown 1000's of times. Saying that I will always applaud any sportsmanship, even if it went against us. Remember DiCanio
T Howard, P Neville, J Yobo, A Stubbs, J Nuno Valente, S Davies, L Carsley, T Cahill, M Arteta, A Johnson, J Beattie
Subs: R Wright, J McFadden, K Kilbane, J Lescott, V Anichebe
here's the team surprised to see Stubbsy starting
same here, being on the other side of the world doesn't change the feeling you get at the beginning of a season. Looking forward to it..
will go back to being a typical cynical Evertonian in afew weeks
Australia are the first team to qualify for next years Asian Cup following a 2-0 win against Kuwait in Sydney

A Couple of notes:
Ex Everton Youth player David Carney had a pretty solid game came close twice
32 622 spectators went to see the game which was against a bunch of part timers and Australia didnt contain any of their european based players.
Finally this sport is getting the recognition it deserves down here
There was a young couple from the hills who had just got married.
They went into Hobart for their honeymoon. Just as they where about to consumate the marriage, the young guy jumps out of bed and gets on the phone to his dad.
"Dad", he says "my new wife is a virgin. What should I do?"
"Come home son" the Dad said "If she's not good enough for her own family, she's definitely not good enough for ours!"
sure do Pat. I remember the papers over here going on a bit that he was the reserve keeper to Big Nev for the 89 Final. btw see Carney made the soceroos squad
